Wow, talk about a gut punch from a that many of us on the right fell in love with. I would be telling a lie if I said I wasn't hurt. However, as much as it hurts those of us who stood behind her, I see this endorsement hurting Palin more than it helps Donald.
If you don't believe me, just peruse her facebook page and see many feel like me. When will people learn that when a member leaves the conservative flock, the flock does not follow them into hell. Just ask Ann Coulter.
Since Sarah was chosen by McCain as his running mate in "08", She has crisscrossed this nation campaigning and endorsing every right wing conservative who decided to take on the establishment. Now say what you want, but her nominees have won more times than they have lost. Just like Ann Coulter consistently wrote #1 best sellers. Well, used to.
So now that one of Palin's greatest endorsements, Ted Cruz, is on the verge's of making our dream come true by dethroning the establishment, Sarah Palin, the darling of the right, decides to endorse Donald Trump. It really is quite puzzling when you consider the fact that almost every Tea Party conservative candidate she endorsed in the last 7 years has thrown their support behind Ted Cruz.
Just my opinion, but I think that Sarah has fallen for the same thing that many good Americans fall for when they spend too much time in the beltway or become famous. While Sarah and her children have been hobnobbing with actors, producers, screen writers, politicians and political pundits, her judgement has been effected by the mindset of those she has been hanging out with.
Sarah it seems has became enamored with the same world that sinks every politician who spends too much time in the spotlight. She lost her moral compass and found that the people with New York values are more attractive to her than the old down home conservative values she used to champion.
Well, good bye Sarah. It was good to know you, but now I hardly do anymore.
Maybe she doesn’t think Ted can win?
If it helps her get on more reality shows, sell more books, and get paid to make speeches, Palin proved she is all for it long before Trump was a candidate.

Exactly. Palin has been through this rodeo before. She can see Cruz has no path to 270 EV after campaigning with Paul Ryan for Obama’s TPA. That puts PA/OH/MI off the table against an Anti-TPA Dem candidate. Trump will pull those states without breaking a sweat for the GOP.
Agreed. To choose the populist over the constitutional conservative and pretend Cruz wasn’t there first makes no sense other than donnie has been sucking up all the air time since he announced.

Her endorsement didn’t change a single Cruz supporter’s mind. Whose minds were left to change?

Nothing says it’s all about the money like Goldman Sachs Values.
Well Cruz got a lower % of the vote in his adopted home state of Texas than Mushy Mediocre Mitt did in 2012. That’s hardly a predictor of national success.
No, I wouldn’t see it that way. First off, Cruz probably isn’t eligible, and his dismissive attitude about it (”settled law”) doesn’t exactly paint the picture of a committed Constitutional originalist. Sarah, like Trump, is a patriot and loves and respects the Constitution.
Second, if you want to talk about the “dream” of dethroning the Establishment, let’s be real. If Cruz, wins Iowa, he’s 2016’s answer to 2012’s Santorum, and 2008’s Huckabee. A guy popular with the far-right in Iowa who has no chance to have an impact elsewhere. He’s being used by the Establishment to take down Trump in Iowa, knowing that he’d then be quickly buried as the race moves to the winner-take-all big states north of the Mason-Dixon line. If Trump wins Iowa on the other hand, it’s game over.
Third, despite the great rhetoric and debating skills, Palin probably sees that in actuality, his conservatism basically amounts to grandstanding, whereas when it’s counted, he’s been a squish. Immigration. TPP. Corker.
Fourth, his entire Senate campaign was surreptitiously funded by his wife’s buddies at Goldman Sachs and Citicorp. Who knows what kinds of shenanigans they’re pulling as we speak to get him over the hump in Iowa and elsewhere.
Palin hasn’t racked up a 70% success rate in taking down Establishment squishes by being a dummy. Listen to what she’s saying.

Well, look on the bright side. Say Trump wins. Puts Palin in some job in the White House. She IS conservative. She might get something done you would like very much.
Your other choice is looking at ol Clinton or Sanders for 4 years and then a possible re-elect.
It’s not all that bad.
The limelight has bewitched many over the years, it’s not that surprising to me.

Which would leave her with a choice between Trump and various members of the GOPe. IMO, she's been eager to undermine the Republican CPC* since they took her out in 2008.
