Donald Trump has been trying to burnish his conservative credentials in his recent attacks on other Republican candidates. Despite his normal attacks on Lindsey Graham and Jeb Bush, he has now taken to attacking Ted Cruz, calling him an "ultimate hypocrite" and implying that he is ineligible to run for the Presidency.
Now it is revealed that Trump attacked current Kentucky Governor and former Senate candidate Matt Bevin. Before Bevin's victory last November he attempted to unseat Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in the 2014 Senate primary.

That's a link where trump supported McConnell after Bevin had announced.
There is no need to run from it. Just accept that Trump supported McConnell over the Tparty candidate. Probably lots of freepers did???
I had forgotten about the late decision to run. Being in the same media area we all joke about the mess Kentucky politics seems always to be in.
It took decades to build a good bridge across the Ohio. And now they’re building two ( we got a republican congressman elected on our side of river)
Folks indicted. Running -not running-maybe running-could be running- once was running - girl friends running or was that wife running.
No wonder Indiana is the top popcorn Capitol of the world !

One BIG problem, folks.....Bevin didnât even announce his candidacy for Senate, against McConnell, until JULY 27, 2013.
Am I reading that right? Did the idiot trump think mitch might be Speaker of the HOUSE?
In the old days freepers were discerning. Itâs a new breed these days....
In the old days “solid conservatives” like Ted Cruz did not campaign for Barack Obama’s agenda.
Re:”Whereâs the proof of this? I want to see the link that says this, and not this one...could be another Cruz hit piece on Trump just like the last one....”
Yes, provided the irrefutable truth, you would have an epiphany that Trump is an opportunistic charlatan and admit the error of your judgment in wild-eyed allegiance to his deception.
Right.
Did you miss the request to have Trump people banned from FR?
No doubt CRUZ and McConnell are buds.... Is that what you’re thinking?
This is the second one in an hour....they are really worried their Canadian isn’t going to make it....
After what I have read from their remarks, if I hadn’t already picked my candidate, I certainly would not be picking Cruz....
You are reading it right. Not only does liberal Donald Trump, the man who wants to be the next president think the speaker is in the senate, he was perfectly fine with that “speaker” being RINO Mitch McConnell to the point that he contributed to the McConnell campaign.
Lol.
That’s what he thought... then he changed the tweet. (probably after his daughter told him it was wrong)
See South 40’s post #7 for all the context you need on just how much of a change agent Trump will actually be.
The irony here is that Trump’s argument for why Kentuckians needed to support the next “speaker” of the Senate is the same tired argument that incumbent establishment types trot out at the end of elections when they think they’re in trouble - seniority and pork.
Make it great again, indeed.
Trump didn’t like folks lying about their ‘resumes’ back then, either. It’s like people think no one....like the Dims....will ever find this stuff out.
Looks like Bevin got caught trying to fudge his resume...saying he was an MIT grad....when, in fact, he attended an MIT sponsored seminar that gave out certificates with MIT’s name listed. LOL.

you seem very weak to not even respond to the requests that if you find out your guy, the liberal trump, supported mcconnell over a tea party guy, will you change your position on Trump? Or....are you so married to the idea that you can’t let facts enter the equation?
Wasn’t Cruz part of the NRSC at McConnell’s insistence and later did nothing in the McConnell race to support his fellow Tea Partier? I think I read something like that over at CT. If I am wrong, then I am wrong.
You’re right. Trump makes a good argument for the people of Kentucky.
Er... the Constitution is a “living document” to people like trump.
You’re delusional.
Bevin’s so dirty that he’s gov now, eh Jane??
Who was responsible for that, pray tell? (I can imagine!)
