Donald Trump has been trying to burnish his conservative credentials in his recent attacks on other Republican candidates. Despite his normal attacks on Lindsey Graham and Jeb Bush, he has now taken to attacking Ted Cruz, calling him an "ultimate hypocrite" and implying that he is ineligible to run for the Presidency.
Now it is revealed that Trump attacked current Kentucky Governor and former Senate candidate Matt Bevin. Before Bevin's victory last November he attempted to unseat Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in the 2014 Senate primary.

Agree and I contend that ‘most’ are not and never have been conservative. You cannot call yourself conservative and back a guy that has such radically leftist views, even when he touts closing the border. There’s no evidence whatsoever, that he will have the Constitution’s back.
When I clicked on the link, the only thing that came up was the home page of FEC...what does that prove?
Donald...the “Art of the con” Trump...phony conservative is in this race to destroy the GOP and give Hillary the best chance she’ll ever have.
Trump is self-destructing though so that’s good.
This is another flat out lying, Trump hit piece.
Trump made his donation to McConnell’s PAC (Trump had been complementary to the SENATE GOP LEADER, previously) on 5/21/13. (Per link, at linked ‘article’)

One BIG problem, folks.....Bevin didn’t even announce his candidacy for Senate, against McConnell, until JULY 27, 2013.
Also, there’s no way to specify that a particular donation go towards “defeating so and so”....so, even if Trump would’ve made this donation AFTER Bevin announced, it still couldn’t be LEGALLY tagged as a donation to ‘defeat’ anyone.
But, he didn’t. Just another trash piece.
Wow...some of these so called ‘conservative’ groups are growing more and more desperate, by the minute. They are really showing us who they fear will upset their cushy apple carts.
Go Trump!!
See post #24 to see what it ‘proves’. Nothing, except that this is another Trump hit piece FAIL.
Trump goes for winners. Clearly he was right. Irregardless of the thoughts of McConnell, Bevin’s was not strong enough to win in conservative Kentucky. So what does that say about Bevin’s? I think the Tea Party title is overused. Some say that Toomey is Tea Party.......Good Lord now that is a joke.
He supported and contributed to the campaign of Clintonista Terry McAuliffe over Republican Ken Cuccinelli.
In the old days freepers were discerning. It’s a new breed these days....
Yep that is why I posted I wanted to see proof of this and was told there was an FEC link there, it proved nothing....I just sent you a private mail...let me know what you think, private mail....
These Cruzanees are getting ridiculous with their fake stories and fake links. smh.
You think McConnell didn't know he was going to be challenged by the Tparty until Bevin officially announced? Really?
Trump gave 50,000.
Of course McConnell is a true conservative and Matt Bevin is a RINO in the Trumpverse.
shame on trump and mcconnell for fabricating a lie and then running with it.
trump is a dirty dog
Go look for yourself. The link to the Federal Election Commission is embedded in the article. Take your time, we want to make sure you have the time to come up with some lame excuse why this practically the greatest thing trump ever did.
Yeah, I’d like to hear an answer to that, too.
I’m bloody sick of them. They’ve taken over FR. You can’t get any news beyond Trump is the Devil posts. What a waste of time.
Cruz was Vice Chair of the NRSC at the time. Wow. Cruz of all people helped McConnell defeat Bevin.
The only thing that matters is that Trump donated 50,000 to Mitch McConnell. Mitch McConnell was universally acclaimed a RINO pos here of FR in May 2013. True or not?
Winners, huh? Like 0bama, Reid, Pelosi, McConnell, Ryan and on and on. They’re all winners.
