The most effective way to ban assaults is have an armed population.

Interesting how even the readers of a Leftist rag oppose tyrannical measures such as the “assault weapon” ban (which should really just be called a gun ban).

BALONEY.
Bombs and arson kill FAR more people than guns,
Well, unless one has a loaded machine gun and there's a crowd in front of him/her.
Bombs and arson are still more lethal...opinon only.

I put a link in the comments. It worked the last time I tried. Poll is at the end of the Pro/con article.

They probably freaked out when it didn’t give them the results they were fishing for and quickly made it go away.

These east coast liberal idiots wouldn’t know an assault weapon from a bag of hammers. If it is black, has a magazine (that these idiots call clips), has an adjustable stock and looks really scary, it MUST be an assault weapon. Who cares if is isn’t fully automatic. Facts mean little to liberals.

I'll bet that rather than have their poll Freeped,Pravda By The Charles (that's what we call the Globe here) took it down.

Poll is now:
17 No 85%
3 Yes 15%
To: shankbear
They’ve moved the goalposts; they want an outright gun ban, and now use “gun” and “assault weapon” interchangeably.
