Cruz needs to get written assurance in advance from a majority of supreme court justices that they will not permit any courts to meddle with his natural born status.

I know it sounds unfair, but we need to be assured that the supreme court will not allow political rulings by rogue justices.

Is that or is that not a reasonable suggestion?

No, it is not reasonable.

Those very same Justices should have to recuse themselves from any case regarding Cruz’ eligibility because they would have ruled on the case prior to hearing it. You say we cannot trust the federal courts yet your suggestion means that the courts would make a ruling based on facts or arguments they have not yet heard.

How would it be if you were found guilty of a crime that you did not commit, and had the evidence to prove your innocence, in advance of having a trial?

First off, I like the way Cruz handled it yesterday, a great ‘jump the shark’ moment.

Part of my intention yesterday is to emphasize the dangerous power those oligarchs-in-robes have. Not all of them abuse their power, but too many do every year.

“You say we cannot trust the federal courts ...”

Do you trust them?

“... yet your suggestion means that the courts would make a ruling ...”

Ruling? Did I say they make a ruling? Trump apparently did, but not me. I said Cruz needs written assurance.

“based on facts or arguments they have not yet heard”

Did I say they should make a promise without studying the matter first?

My goodness. I’m far from perfect, but honestly ... how stupid do you think I am?

When you are in a nation ruled by oligarchs, I believe it is entirely reasonable to get as many assurances as possible from them for important matters.

Would it force them to recuse themselves? Why? Their court precedents have driven a truck through artificial commerce clause loopholes. Under the Commerce Clause, they could do anything they darn well want and not recuse themselves.
