A closely related concept is SAFE SPACE (n) - a designated location for emotionally unstable college students to hide from perceived micro-aggression, and to have their paranoid grievances reinforced by their peers. Safe spaces are particularly favored by black and hispanic students, as well as by radical feminists and homosexuals.
Their symbol is a pacifier.
Pass out the pull-ups and binkies at college orientation day....
Being a software engineer, I take the recursive approach; i.e., I consider a stipulation of micro-agression to be an act of micro-agression.
By my reckoning, it would take 1,000,000 microaggressions to create one actual aggression. Committing one per minute, working 24x7, that would take nearly two years to pull off. Knock yourself out, and I hope your victim is very patient.
I actually made a similar point on Tumblr just yesterday...

Not supported by Mom (Dad? Gimme a break) or trust funds. Supported by taxpayers and do gooder racist nonprofits. “Entitled” little bas***** who think the world owes them a living because Mom (again, no Dad) lives that way and has trained them accordingly.

When you cannot find anything real to be offended about because there is nothing wrong, you make sh1t up and call it ‘micro-aggression’.
Don’t forget the perpetually offended, the mega-paranoid, and the professional victims.
microaggression - liberal attempt to demonize non-existant problems and to justify a way to be offended about nothing.
I've said this a time or two myself. Correcting people who commit "microaggressions" is a microaggressive act in and of itself. Annoying as all-get-out, too.
I used to work with a hyper-liberal (no shaving, no bathing, said she was a gluten-free vegan but ate cookies and donuts when she thought no one was looking) "Womyn" who had the nasty habit of correcting people's speech...."That seems like an awfully aggressive thing to say, instead could we say......"
First time she did it, I let it go by. Second time, I called her out in front of the entire staff (80-100 people) ..."Miss X, I'm quite capable of choosing my own words. Did you have any other commentary that you'd like to make? I'll wait." .. and I held up the meeting for a good minute.
She didn't do it again, ever. Was one of those perfect moments that you hope for, but only happen in your own head. :-) I doubt that I made her Christmas non-denominational, seasonal celebration day list, though!
