Help us Ted Cruz. You are our only hope.

Ted Cruz

Almost everyone has seen the iconic 1977 movie Star Wars. And most people remember the scene where Princess Leia records a message to Obi-Wan Kenobi. She tells him, "Help me Obi-Wan. You are my only hope."

Today conservatives are in the position of saying, "Help us Ted Cruz. You are our only hope."

There is one compelling reason why Ted Cruz is the only hope for conservatives in this election.

What is it?

At this point, there are only three candidates who have any shot at the GOP nomination. They are Cruz, Marco Rubio and Donald Trump. The rest at this point are just running for cabinet positions in a new administration. The only exception to that might be Rand Paul, who is hopefully running for reelection to his Senate seat.

But there is something about Ted Cruz that is absolutely essential to this election.

The next President is going to make several appointments to the Supreme Court. Who ever the next President is will fundamentally move the court. Can you imagine the Supreme Court justices Hillary Clinton would appoint? No one has to wonder because we already see them in the four liberal members of the Court.

But what about the Republicans?

The Republican track record hasn't been great. Ronald Reagan gave us Antonin Scalia who is one of the greatest justices of all time. He also gave us Anthony Kennedy, who has been the swing vote when the court has moved left on issues like homosexual marriage and he gave us one of the worst justices of all time, Sandra Day O'Conner. George H.W. Bush gave us Clarence Thomas but also gave us a disaster named David Souter. George W. Bush gave us Samuel Alito but also gave us one of the huge disappointments, namely John Roberts.

Freedom and liberty hang in the balance. In most of the major decisions where liberty has been saved, such as Citizens United or the District of Columbia v. Heller case were decided by 5-4 margins.

America is one bad Supreme Court appointment away from seeing the First and Second Amendments turned into meaningless words. The left already says religious liberty should be trumped by homosexual rights. The left believes that none of us should be allowed to own a gun. What will one more bad Supreme Court Justice do to those rights?

Ted Cruz is the only candidate who can be trusted select Supreme Court justices who will be conservatives. Marco Rubio cannot. His association with the Gang of Eight proved that. Given Donald Trump's past, his choices for the Supreme Court would be questionable at best.

With liberty hanging in the balance, we cannot take any chances with a President who will give us yet another bad Supreme Court justice.

That is why Ted Cruz is our only hope.

The current president will die in a hail of gunfire soon? Because that’s why Johnson won.

The cut&pasted anti-polka dot post:

That silly polka-dot graph you post constantly is ridiculous. For example, Trump’s 2A policy is better than any other candidate, with his national concealed carry idea.

Cruz’s Speechwriter and Communications Director, Amanda Carpenter, works at Conservative Review. So of course, there is no bias there. /s

And that you say to contact some outside group if we do not like the ratings is you just trying to deflect responsibility that YOU are posting this simplistic hogwash over and over.

I am going to post this comment every time I see your silly polka dots! (The fact that I have also mastered cutting and pasting is hardly impressive, is it, LOL)

Wait a minute. Ted Cruz's wife is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Mission

As stated on its website, the CFR's mission is to be "a resource for its members, government officials, business executives, journalist, educators and students, civic and religious leaders, and other interested citizens in order to help them better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries". The CFR promotes globalization, free trade, reducing financial regulations on transnational corporations, and economic consolidation into regional blocs such as NAFTA or the European Union, and develops policy recommendations that reflect these goals. (forgive my boldness)

It convenes meetings at which government officials, global leaders and prominent members of the foreign policy community discuss major international issues. Its think tank, the David Rockefeller Studies Program, is composed of about fifty adjunct and full-time scholars, as well as ten in-residence recipients of year-long fellowships, who cover the major regions and significant issues shaping today's international agenda. These scholars contribute to the foreign policy debate by making recommendations to the presidential administration, testifying before Congress, serving as a resource to the diplomatic community, interacting with the media, authoring books, reports, articles, and op-eds on foreign policy issues.

It is a certainty that we are in far greater jeopardy of losing our Constitutional Guarantees if Ted Cruz made it to the White House.

That about the stupidest statement I’ve ever heard:’ we would be in danger of losing our constitutional rights! Are you sure you mean this?

I didn’t call for anything to happen. I was saying that LBJ won in 1964 because JFK was assassinated.

Nope, crus would be like Reagan Dukakis. I don’t believe your theory. What led you to this conclusion (in the face of polling that says Cruz beats or is tied with Clinton)?

The jedi references were also used by the koolpaul paulistas.

At this point, the cruz analogies are just becoming silly.

Do you not see that the CFR goal of the globalization is to limit and abolish nationalities and create a global community? Read the Mission. The would necessarily have to limit, dilute and dissolve our Constitution to achieve this. It should not be hard to connect the dots.

Furthermore, Heidi Cruz has a Masters of European Business from Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. The fact that Heidi Cruz is a Vice President of Goldman Sachs, the statement that the CFR works to reduce financial regulations on transnational corporations, and (is for) economic consolidation into regional blocs such as NAFTA or the European Union, puts an ominous question mark on the whole Cruz campaign. or should.

Most would think that sane people do not believe that.

I’m sick of this comparison. While it is valid, Ted Cruz is not Goldwater. He is running a totally different campaign. Think more like Dave Brat.

“If you want a repeat of the Johnson / Goldwater election, than Cruz is your guy.”

GOPe/RNC talking point.

You out yourself well.

Heidi Cruz this..Heidi Cruz that. Non of this matters, mane it certainly doesn’t lessen Cruz’s conservative record as a U.S. senator.

What rock are you living under if you haven’t noticed all the articles about how Ted Cruz would be more acceptable to the establishment, as well as all the polls designed to show Cruz catching up to Trump, just as Fiorino, then Carson, then Rubio were supposed to. They are building him up only to try to take Trump down, then focus on the weaker link.

Bogus theory based on someone’s immagination. Cruz is rising because of his grassroots work, and continued voter, outreach as well as continued conservative consolidation. The GOPe is not promoting him, and if they are they are jumping on a bandwagon. Plus the difference between him and the other candidates like Rubio, Fiorina, etc is that he is an actual CONSERVATIVE in the mold of Ronald W. Reagan. Why don’t you tell me instead why you prefer Trump rather than this rubbish theory about Cruz and the establishment??
