ISIS is not the point, or at minimum it is not the most important point. The most important point is the increasing likelihood that Iran will ignite a 17kt warhead over Manhattan, vaporizing 100,000 New Yorkers in mere seconds, and destroying the heart of our nation’s largest city. The good Dr. should have mentioned why they will hit Manhattan, because it is our financial capitol.

The short-term stop-gap answer is a robust missile defense, which the Democrats deride as “star wars” or “provocative escalation”.
And of course the Republican majority yields to the opposition, funding more massive welfare spending (or spending for the resettlement of illegals) over the priority of national defense.
All the more reason 2016 is not going to be the year of the establishment politician.
