Pat Caddell: Country Closer to Revolution Than Ever
Breitbart ^ | Dec. 17, 2015 | Dan Riehl

Posted on 12/17/2015 2:26:43 PM PST by PROCON

Veteran pollster Pat Caddell says he agrees with the premise that America today is closer to another revolution than at any time in recent history, adding, "The strength of this country comes from its people and it has a political system that is run, now, to the exclusion of its people - you have three quarters of the American people saying the government in Washington does not rule with the consent of the governed."

Caddell told Breitbart News Daily host Stephen K. Bannon that the current $1.1 trillion 2,000-plus page omnibus bill is "the greatest disaster anyone ever saw because of the deals being cut."

Caddell cited elements of the bill that are still being discovered, such as the upping of the number of foreign visas. Caddell was referring to a provision that was outrageously

See this video by senator Jeff Sessions if you want to see a senator pissed-off over the Omnibus bill.

A lot of us are pissed off about the Omnibus bill. The problem is, being pissed off doesn't change anything. It still is. Action is what changes things.

while we shouldn’t say never- the handwriting is kinda on the wall- this nation has turned into a ‘gimmedat’ society

I will never forget when a fox news reporter asked a woman why she voted for dear leader a second time, the woman got this crap eating grin on her face, and practically yelled “So I can git me some of Dat obama-money”, and when the reporter asked where she thought that money would come from she again got the same crap eating grin, shrugged her shoulders and said “It’s just free, Dats all”- She and the people celebrating in the streets, and weeping and wailing for ‘joy’ proved that these gimmedats didn’t give a damn about future generations and just wanted as much as they can get now while the money still flowed-

It was pretty obvious at that point that this country was slipping into a socialist mentality

There was NO way dear leader should have been elected another term- Gasoline was super high (and historically, people always boot the president when gasoline prices were high), He was attacking Christians, He insulted the American people, He showed his disdain for this country numerous times, record numbers of people were losing their homes, their jobs, etc etc etc

Had a republican been in office and done even just a few of the things dear leader did, there would have been a landslide defeat for him- Had unemployment been as high as it was- no way woudl he have been freelected-

Yet this ‘gimmedat’ society didn’t care about anything dear leader did because dear leader gave them free obammyphones

The war isn’t over of course, but the writing does appear to be o nthe wall- I’m reserving judgement until I see whetrher or not America oes the right thigns and elects a republican in a landslide unmistakeable statement that we are not going to take the left’s crap anymore- Then I’ll have my faith in the public’s ability to think of others first restored-

A lot of people in this country love Obama. Unfortunately, my sister is one of the them.

I agree.....just look around at our fellow citizens & neighbors. I don’t see any sign of these people revolting. One good thing that I believe has happened is that the GOP base has been shattered & that might help topple the GOPe.

If you can't distill what you need to say in a few pages or less, you are dead in the business world. That's why we need Trump. He comes from the business world and he keeps things plain and simple.

Agree. I am no proponent of the executive branch having line item veto, as I am of the opinion that appropriations are explicitly awarded to the populace's house of the legislative branch. Checks and balances thingy. However, I relish the thought of Mr. Trump reviewing whatever hogwash our current entrenched oligarchy puts in front of him. I hope he takes the red pen and marks the hell out of it and sends it back with specific instructions to get it RIGHT.

And the sad part, we, the voters elected these people. Will it take a revolution to correct. Perhaps, but I pray not.

Supposedly, the constitution does not allow the recall of federal elected officials. This is a matter of interpretation, and that is how the power structure in Washington interpreted it many years ago.

I think the states need to clarify this issue with a constitutional amendment and ensure federally elected officials can be recalled, along with the mechanism to do so. This needs to be a very simple ballot; a simple yes or no answer; no other candidates on the ballot for this official to campaign against, and a very short period of time between the certification of the petition and the election. The federal govt, not the state, should pay for this election. Recall should be done petition of the people of the congressional district for their representative; for senator either the state legislature or the people should be able to remove a Senator. In both cases , and the bar should be high, but not impossibly high.

I also think there is no reason why we can’t increase the number representatives significantly, and why not three senators from each state? One elected every 2 years. Our country is much larger, there are many more states, and communications and travel are far better now than when this country was founded and the constitution written.

We also should require Supreme Court Justices to stand for election, to be confirmed by the people at the next federal election after the initial appointment, and every 12 years thereafter. Life expectancy is significantly longer now than it was when the constitution was written.

We need to occupy 1600 Pennsylvania with the right candidate. Establishment GOPe, such as Jeb Bush, is pointless.

You know, as odd as this may sound, an EMP attack or similar catastrophe may be the only way to get people away from the TV’s and their smart phones and to get angry. Just a passing thought.
