VIDEO: ‘Stump for Trump’ duo bring down the house at candidate’s NC rally

YouTube sensations Lynette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson joined Donald Trump on stage at his Raleigh, North Carolina rally Friday night.

"How great are they!" Trump exclaimed while the duo -- known as Diamond and Silk -- walked onto the stage.

"I turn on my television one night," a hoarse Trump said, "and I see these two on television. I say 'they are the greatest.' They became an internet sensation."

The Republican front runner then invited Hardaway to "do a little routine," which she eagerly accepted.

"First of all, I'm glad that the media can see us," she said. "I want everybody to know that we stand behind Donald J. Trump!

"We support Donald J. Trump! We endorse Donald J. Trump," the pair said simultaneously to wild applause.

"And this is going to be our next president of these United States! The silent majority has spoken, baby! He's going to build that wall and he's going to build it tall and it's going to protect us all," Hardaway said.

"We don't want this country to fall do we?" she said. "Build that wall Donald J. Trump," Hardaway said as she was embraced by the candidate.

Yes.  And as you know, it’s not all bark and showmanship with Diamond and Silk.  A few months back, Silk made one of the most perceptive comments about Trump I ever heard in a CNN interview:

Don Lemon, CNN:  Silk, how can he [Trump] bring back jobs?  You know he’s being criticized for being vague and not going in deeper with his policies and how he’s going to do that.

Silk:  Being a business person, you don’t tell all your secrets.  You don’t talk a whole lot.  You keep that inwards and strategically plan out how you’re gonna do it. And then you put it into action.  Instead of just talking about it, you be about it.

It’s brilliant!

Met them in person last night and they are serious and intelligent. Their “act” I think is to get blacks, many of whom talk that way, to take notice of Trump. I did not get the impression that they are lemmings. They are sincere in the hope of saving our country.

Great post. The older I got, the more convinced I became that Reagan was a miracle of American politics that would not likely be repeated. Now thanks to a collision of multiple horrendous events brought about by the bastard in the WH, people seem to be hearing Mr Trump’s message of real hope.

I see a winner. I didn't coin the description, White Obama. It was another poster. I see Trump as a winner who can take back the WH including attracting the so-called Reagan democrats.

If Trump is as successful as Obama has been in electoral politics and implementing his agenda, including with the aid of the GOP-controlled Congress, then let's have a "White Obama." The GOP has lost the popular vote in five out of the last six elections. Demography, fueled by immigration, will make the Dems the permanent majority party. If the GOP loses this election, the party and the country are finished.
