This video of many roses, flowers and passing butterfly with myself and mandolin mixed with A-Capella singing of a verse of this song, Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior, written by William H. Doane, is covered by me, o7jimmy. This video a redone and I believe it is short enough not to waste much of others time. A wonderful Christmas and holidays to all.
That is a good old hymn.
Sunday my son sang It Is Well With My Soul by Horatio Spafford. He told the story of Spafford who lost most of his fortune in the Chicago fire. Two years later he sent his wife and four daughters to England and was to meet them there. Their ship sunk and only his wife survived.
He later visited the site of the sinking and wrote the hymn he is famous for.
First verse:
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.
Wow a wonderful true story like this, builds faith in our hearts. Thanks so much for commenting and this great story.
