Eight years of Trump as President with Cruz as his VP followed by eight years of Cruz as President works for me.

Even just four years of Trump works.

Without Trump, Jethro would be the nominee already.

That strategy could backfire: they could look to Cruz to save them from Trump.

I would say this is some of the silliest analysis I’ve seen recently.

You act like Trump is some Godking with the super power to maneuver all the other candidates into the position he wants. Typical of Trumpsters, they seem to think “the Donald” is all knowing and all seeing.

Trump is just attacking the candidates he views as a threat to him. If/when Cruz gets closer to Trump in the polls he will attack him just like he does all the others (while at the same time claiming he is just counter punching).

Politically, Trump is pretty predictable at this point. Also, he is highly unlikely to be the nominee just FYI.

I totally concur with the strategy of Trump getting rid of everybody but Cruz. Cruz will never run better than a distant second to him and then Trump can wrap up the nomination and Take Ted along for the ride to DC either as VP or AG. Either one fine by me.

Cruz is more acceptable to the Establishment than Trump is.

I predict the gopE will “select” someone rather than allow Trump or Cruz to get the nomination. They’ll get a liberal judge to approve their illegal actions. Think Mississippi.

I like the idea of Trump as President...and someone as V.P. but I want Trump to appoint Cruz into the Supreme Court when Ginsberg is gone....That's is Cruz's arena...

And as V. P. to President Trump...could be some outsider we don't know or it could be someone from the Senate that will scare the heck out of both parties....

But WE are not ‘crystal ball’ readers are we...as long as Hillary or Jeb ‘cry baby’ Bush doesn't get anywhere near the Oval Office, America will be fine....

I don’t think the GOPe has anything on Trump that could take him out; if they did, they would have done so by now. They did their best in the Fox debate, which was run by the GOPe. They have tried using BKs and ex-wives and past positions, and none of it is resonating. Yeb has saturated the airwaves in NH and no one wants him. I do think Trump likes Cruz, but he is keeping his options open, and I don’t think he is using Cruz as some sort of insurance policy. He doesn’t want any no. 2 candidates that are close to him, and so he has been tougher on Carson lately. That is all.

Trump did emphatically say he likes someone in the field (as a potential running mate), and as we’ve seen lately, that someone isn’t Carson.

Sounds like a plan to me. There are only 2 maybe 2 1/2 candidates that are not part of the GOPe. That being Trump, Cruz and the 1/2 being Carson.

Bottom line for those wanting change in Washington and breaking the Karl Roves of the GOPe those are the ONLY possible candidates. Anyone else and things go on as they are.

The GOPe hates Trump. They fear Cruz. They will do everything they can to prevent either one (Trump or Cruz) from getting the nomination.

Carson is done with conservatives with his backing of PR statehood.
