Agree. The video is BS.
Students record everything for social media laughs. They are dumb enough to film fights and provide evidence of assault for law enforcement.
What are you saying? The teacher is in on it? They are doing performance art?
Pouring more money into minority schools won’t solve the problem: attempting to turn savages into civilized members of society.
IF you watched any of the video you would notice the teacher sitting at her desk when in fact the punk kid was trying to clobber her with a desk, or supposedly was trying to clobber her with a desk, and the female punkette was fighting him allegedly to keep him from harming the teacher.
Think about it. IF YOU WERE in her shoes would you be calmly sitting at your desk with a look of disgust on your face, or would you have hauled it out of the room?
I say IF she was subject to that sort of antagonistic expression, she’d have hauled you know what out of there.
I cannot imagine what my father would have done to the punk if this were his wife teaching the class. FIRST he tears a new one on the Principal, then he confronts this kid and most likely commits what today is a crime. Of course the lady most assuredly does not have a husband, and just as surely the participants in the class do not have a male role model in their lives either.
Haul it out of the room and go where? To the office? The system is broken. Admins won’t do anything. Teachers have no choice but to sit through it and pray for the bell to ring. You can’t lay a pinky on a student anymore.
Not only will there be no school shutdowns but a likely expansion is inevitable to make sure “no one is left behind” and the “common core” is being reached!
Doesn’t matter where she would have gone. She wasn’t going to sit there, and let the kid crush her skull with that chair was she? If so then why should I care?

I worked at a city high school and this class is very small. I wonder if it was lunch time or after school detection. No one had anything on their desks.
The teacher has probably seen all that before with this class so knew she probably wasn’t going to be hit with the desk.
You actually think the teacher wants that five minutes of video recorded and put on youtube? Why exactly?
It’s quite apparent the teacher was playing to the camera wasn’t it. Therefore the whole thing was a fake from the git-go.
I remember the good old days when the paddle was used and kids treated their teachers with respect.

I can’t imagine what, really. I can’t see a real teacher just going along with it for a gag.

I have personally experienced almost identical classroom situations when posted to 99% black schools. I had heavy stuff thrown at me, attempts to steal my personal belongings, I was spit on, shoved, jeered at, threatened, blocked from the classroom phone so I could not call the dean, etc. It is truly frightening what these urban ghetto kids feel that they can do with impunity to a teacher.
