Well, well, well - that was fun!
Last nightâs winners: the Republican candidates - with the exception of Jeb!
â¦who may have reached the point where it would be better for everyone if he were to give serious consideration to going to do some of those âreally cool things I could do other than sit around, being miserable.â
Last nightâs losers: the JV moderator team
John Harwood, left, Becky Quick, center, and Carl Quintanilla
who proved beyond a doubt that Rubio had a point: âYou know, the Democrats have the ultimate Super PAC, itâs called the mainstream media.â
Once the beauty contestants discovered they would all get more red meat if they hunted as a pack, things got very interesting. Hard to pick a favorite moment;
Was it Cruz:
"You look at the questions: 'Donald Trump, are you a comic-book villain?,' 'Ben Carson, can you do math?,' 'John Kasich, will you insult two people over here?,' 'Marco Rubio, why don't you resign?,' 'Jeb Bush, why have your numbers fallen?'" Cruz said, imitating the moderators, to raucous applause. "How about talking about the substantive issues people care about?â
Rubio:
âIt was the week (Hillary Clinton) got exposed as a liar. But she has her Super PAC helping her out, the American mainstream media.ââ
Christie:
âEven in New Jersey thatâs considered rude, John (Harwood).â
Is it possible that Republicans are finally figuring out how to deal with a hostile MSM? When John Hargood, unhappy with the direction Christieâs response was heading, started arguing with him, Christie came right out and asked Harwood if HE wanted to answer the question (Harwood declined).
Hereâs what Iâd like to hear from any of the candidates the next time one of the moderators inserts their own views into their âclarifyingâ follow-up questions: âLook John, are you running for President? Because if you are then I suppose America would like to hear your opinion on your question, butt if youâre not why donât you just shut up and let ME answer YOUR question.
âAre you talkinâ to me?â
Well John, I donât know if weâre talkinâ to you, butt we sure as heck are talkinâ about you.

I think some of the politicians have finally figured out that when Trump stood up to Megan Kelly, it was a good thing in the eyes of the voters.
Too many candidates forget that they need the support of the voters, not the support of the press.
NBC DANCE
"I can lie if I want to
I can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't lie and if they don't lie
Well they're, no friends of mine
Say, we can lie if we want to
If we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude and be totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile."
I like it!
It was interesting watching Kelly talk about moderators with agendas against candidates. It was an after debate follow up with FOX News people, so nobody brought up her attack on Trump.
Gingrich started it in the 2012 primary.
Good for him.
Now they are ALL going bombastic on us.
Why, we simply will not tolerate that!
We need to find another candidate, someone who sticks to the issues, not so eager to point out blood coming out of wherever, and that the media is in the pocket of the dems
hmm... maybe Mccain or Romney will reenter?
Watching Kelly and friends negative comments on CNBC moderators and patting themselves on the back for what was the first attempt by a set of "moderators" to attempt to elevate themselves to "participants" instead of mere TV moderatos was disgusting.
In her own "performance," which was smug, cutesy, and less than professional, Kelly set a standard for the kind of behavior exhibited by the CNBC crew last night.
"Oh the gift . . . to see ourselves as others see us."
Newt Gingrich led the way in the last election cycle there in S. Carolina.
I wonder how many people will get the reference to men without hats. I’m guessing only a few as that was a pretty narrow audience in 83 even allowing for it being a chart topping single. Nice parody!
Ted Cruz confers with his most important supporters during a break in the debate.
