Rumors have been rampant that Biden has finally made a decision, and that he’s planning to launch a campaign within the next 48 hours. According to Fox News sources, the rumored decision is correct, but the timeline of Biden’s announcement is still undetermined.

I'm not sure that being VP assures much of anything. George H. W. Bush won in 1988 but Nixon lost in 1960, Humphrey in 1968, Mondale in 1984 (as former VP) and Gore in 2000. Johnson won in 1964 and Ford lost in 1976 as former VPs who were elevated to POTUS and ran as incumbents.
Being VP gives a person visibility but doesn't seem like they do any better than would be expected from strong, experienced candidates.
I would love it if both sides go nuclear on each other and reveal all the crapola that's been going on behind the scenes.

The FBI will be taking notes during the Benghazi hearing and will learn that Hillary is telling a different story under oath to Congress than she told under oath to the FBI.
Joe Biden will know that Hillary will get indicted for one set of lies or the other set of lies within months. He will look at the other dwarfs: Bernie, Webb, Lessig, Chafee, and O'Malley and realize that anyone can beat any of those five.
Joe Biden will realize he had better get in now rather than after the indictment.
