It is not fair for an illegal to get lower tuition than a U.S. citizen. That is exactly what happens when an illegal in one state gets in state tuition but a citizen from the neighboring state has to be the higher price.

Squatters’ rights are better than citizens’ rights now. A student from LA or OK has to pay out-of-state rates to attend a state college in TX, but illegal aliens pay in-state tuition, thanks to Rick Perry and the ignorant TX legislature. the first state a decade ago to approve this outrage.

I used to feel sorry for the children of illegals. They didn't make the choice to be here, they shouldn't be punished for the crimes of their parents, etc etc etc.

Then, I had an epiphany.

If *I* committed a felony, would the judge say, "He's a father, his kids would be adversely affected by any punishment, so we'll just skip that particular phase of the trial...." ?

When I attended the Air War College in Montgomery, Alabama, our youngest child reached the age for first grade. My wife decided to go back to college and finish her degree. Because we retained Ohio residence for voting, drivers license, etc., she had to pay out of state tuition. I resent the very idea that illegals should get in-state tuition.

Illegals should not only not pay in-state tuition, they should be deported when discovered.
