Coriolis effect, Magnus effect, Mirage, Wind, Density Altitude etc have to be a first class bitch at that range ...... I know its hard as extreme long range shooting is my addiction / hobby. My mentors and local subject matter experts and favorite studies are Cal Zant from “precision rifle blog” down in Lubbock, David Tubbs with “Superior Shooting Systems”up in Canadian Texas and Todd Hodnett from Accuracy First International up who’s also up in Canadian Texas..... Those three are my go to for Tech, Experience and Skill. Hill Country Rifles are very very well made tools.
The gold goes to the shooter that can consistently make a cold bore hit at 1752 meters on a torso sized target first time.....
I know this shot was as tough as it gets but shy of target or milk jug, apollo challenge sort of slinging lead till something sticks to the wall isn’t my favorite game. But fun to watch and a necessary process to learn to dope your shot and gear.
My opinion...Stay Safe !!
I don’t think I’ve got anything in the safe that would even go that far.
Maybe a .300 Savage if you pointed it at the moon.
Wow...
Familiar with North Texas Rifle Precision? Josh (Jay) Ruby, the owner was my driver when I commanded 55th MP Company :-)
