The left has a favorite Bible verse, one that even President Obama cant resist.
Jesus said it in the Sermon on the Mount: Judge not.
Of course, Obama is wont to misquote the Bible whenever he pleases, making up stuff that the good book says like dont throw stones at glass houses. (Hint: they didnt even have glass in Biblical days.)
But judging is exactly what the left does, while they tell Christians not to, because, you know, do what I say, not what I do.
Lets take same-sex marriage. Oh, Christians shouldnt judge says the liberal elites. It doesnt matter how many studies or real stories are out there of children raised in same-sex households who are now messed up as adults. Nope, Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote that all the facts dont matter.
As all parties agree, many same-sex couples provide loving and nurturing homes to their children, whether biological or adopted. ... Excluding same-sex couples from marriage thus conflicts with a central premise of the right to marry. All parties meaning even if you dont agree, you MUST agree. What, are children like pets, where people have some basic, newly-discovered rights to have them? Last I checked, having children is a biological function of a man and a womanone man, and one woman.
But Christians must not judge, because SOME same-sex couples are loving and nurturing, and SOME kids turn out okay. We must assume the best based on the small group of well-adjusted adults who grew up with same-sex parents and ignore the depressed, anxious, defiant, attention-deficit kids who struggle with drugs, alcohol and failed relationships.
With Muslims, Christians must not judge, because Islam is a religion of peace, and whats called radical Islam is really just some perversion, like Westboro Baptist perverts Christianity.
Hey, wait a minutethe left paints all Christians like Westborotake what Obama said about LGBT month last June:
We celebrate the proud legacy LGBT individuals have woven into the fabric of our Nation, we honor those who have fought to perfect our Union, and we continue our work to build a society where every child grows up knowing that their country supports them, is proud of them, and has a place for them exactly as they are.... I call upon the people of the United States to eliminate prejudice everywhere it exists, and to celebrate the great diversity of the American people. So I guess Christians cant disagree that LGBT individuals are okay exactly as they are without being called prejudiced.
But on Islam, Obama said that we should align ourselves with the 99.9 percent of Muslims who are looking for the same thing we're looking for--order, peace, prosperity. You know, because those Muslims don't even recognize [radical Islam] as being Islam.
That would mean were fighting the 0.1 percent. Im sorry, Mr. President, but thats just not true.
Aaron Goldstein roundly disproved it in The American Spectator:
This is nonsense on stilts. Daniel Pipes has long argued that between 10 to 15% of Muslims subscribe to radical Islam. Pipes uses the term Islamist to describe this 10 to 15%. By this, Pipes means Muslims who want the establishment of an Islamic caliphate which would impose Shariah law. Not all of these Muslims necessarily support terrorism to bring this about, but a large number certainly do.With 1.6 billion Muslims on the planet, and 10 to 15 percent agreeing with what wed call radical Islam, that meansconservativelythere are at least 160 million Muslims sympathetic to the aims of groups like the Islamic State, setting up a worldwide caliphate based on Sharia law. At least according to the Pew Research Center.
Data-shmata. Who cares if the number is 1.6 million or 160 million? We should not judge Muslims by those who behead children or drown men by submerging a cage into a swimming pool, or decapitate groups of people using explosives.
We should not judge Maj. Nidal Hasan, who stood in a Fort Hood dining facility, shouted Alihu Akbar (God is great) and shot over 40 people, killing 13. It wasnt Hasan who killed those soldiers, it was his gun.
At least thats the Armys position when it denied benefits to Staff Sgt. Shawn Manning, who was shot six times by Hasan. Manning couldnt even receive a Purple Heart until an act of Congress specifically allowed it, becauseget thisMAJ Hasan has been charged with criminal activity, but has not been adjudicated a terrorist. Therefore, the clear preponderance of evidence does not support that the injuries sustained were the direct result of armed conflict.
He was not adjudicated a terrorist. Judge not. That and the fact that Hasan used his own personal weapon, not an Army-issued firearm. I suppose if he had used an Army-issued pistol, that changes everything, because gun control wouldnt be an issue.
Every time theres any kind of shooting, its the guns fault, and because theres lots of guns, well then all gun owners must be potential mass killers. So far this year, there have been 300 known mass shootings according to the website shootingtracker.com. The definition they use is more than one killed or wounded, and using that filter, 381 people have been killed and 1109 wounded.
A recent study shows that about one-third of Americans reported owning a gun, so lets use that figure. In round numbers, it means theres about 104 million gun owners, and over 300 million privately-owned guns.
Lets do the math.
Hmm. 300 divided by 104 million = 0.00000288461538, or 0.00029 percent of gun owners are involved in a mass shooting. That would mean the other 99.971 percent of gun owners are looking for the same thing were looking fororder, peace, prosperity.
Facts-shmacts. And dont quote Obama on Muslims when were talking about GUNS.
Guns are scary, cold-metal and shoot bullets. Christians are dangerous bigots who advocate a thocracy. Radical Islam just beheads people and throws gays off buildings.
I'm not even going to get started on abortion, but I think this T-shirt worn by actor Kelsey Grammar tells the story well enough.
If abortion were as scary as guns to the left, it would be banned in a millisecond.
The message for Christians: judge not, because of the Crusades, and the Spanish Inquisition, and corrupt popes from a thousand years ago. And because Hitler used Martin Luthers writings to justify the Holocaust. But the left can freely judge anyone for anything, facts be damned.
But it doesn't matter what the facts are. Obama and the secular left will never admit they are hypocrites, probably because of some scripture about glass houses.
It is the height of foolishness to argue with a liberal. Liberals are not rational nor are they reasonable. Their beliefs are the perverse offspring of their desires.
Liberals rabidly demand abortion, sexual promiscuity, pornography and chaos, especially in black ghettos.
Liberals insist citizens not be allowed to protect themselves from murderous zealots.
Liberals are inspired by the onslaught of criminals crossing our borders.
liberals support violent terrorism as justification for non-existent wrongs committed against jihadist ancestors a thousand years ago.
Liberals are mad dog perversions of humanity.
If you want to see the effect increased/enhanced geometrically, disagree when there are several liberals present and you're the only dissenter. They will fall all over themselves verbally assaulting you to prove to each other who's the bigger/badder/best "liberal."
Lib lurkers out there reading this: don't even try to kid yourselves this doesn't happen. I have witnessed it and experienced it multiple times both IRL and online. If it wasn't for pathetic hypocrisy liberals wouldn't have much.
BUMP!
God judges;Christians agree with Him. One can certainly have an opinion without judging someone else, can’t they?
