BRITISH Special Forces have used a mannequin army of shop dummies to lure dozens of Islamic State (ISIS) fighters into an ambush in eastern Syria, military sources have revealed.
The operation targeted an ISIS unit that had been making repeated strikes on Kurdish Peshmerga forces.
The top-secret mission took place two weeks ago near the town of Bussayrah, close to the Euphrates River, and involved a joint force of UK and American troops.

What is the source of that photo, please?
Nothing new about deception ops. The Russians are really good at it; “maskirovka” is almost a separate military discipline in Russia.
DONT LET OBAMA SEE THIS
HE WILL REPLACE THE ENTIRE ARMY WITH THEM.......
he has already done this with the pentagon, the fbi, the cia, the dni, border patrol, justice dept and homeland security....
The pic is very reminiscent of the Maj. David Stirling WWII-era SAS in the North African desert. Whoever posed that pic may have been aware of that.
Ultimate Force was good for the few seasons.
Just did an image search for Beau Geste and up it popped.
Okay, thanks. I found the photo after I asked you.
At first, I thought the picture you posted was a photo of real-life legionaires. I was struck by how handsome they were — don’t worry, I’m a woman :) — but the second thought I had was that they looked so much alike, like brothers.
Then I read about the movie version of “Beau Geste”. I suppose, even then, someone could have manipulated the photo to make those actors look more alike.
Finally some military creativity.
