Donald Trump is an out of the box thinker. Here is an out of the box idea for him: personal, individual sponsorship of a section of the wall to be built on our southern border.
Trump has called for a wall to be built along the entire roughly 2,000 miles of our border with Mexico. There are some 2 million feet in the 370 mile border between Mexico and Arizona; and most observers agree sealing this hole needs immediate attention.
Using a wall to slow and eventually stop illegal aliens from invading our country is the most obvious response to this problem.
No one in the media and no one in the Uniparty that governs us want the wall, but so what? We want it.
The odds that our next president will be Donald Trump seem to grow as time goes by.
Trump has a plan to build the wall and make Mexico pay for it, something which has been widely attacked by the Uniparty and the media. They laugh and try to portray Trump as a fool for even suggesting such a thing, but so what? We want the wall. For the record he wants to put a $2.00 tax on each of the one million barrels of oil a day Mexico sells to us.
That would produce about 760 million a year and thats a good...

Many many many many individual average Americans would pony up out of their own pockets to help build the wall, yours truly included. My checkbook is out.
I would!!!
So why can’t the current legally required wall be our wall by sponsorship?
Interesting idea. Thanks for the post! btt
Trump did NOT propose building a 2,000 mile wall. He said it would not be necessary to construct a wall that long since there are natural boundaries.
We might even enjoy being a part of protecting our kids’ and grandkids’ futures.
Would be glad to participate in “Adopt-A-Wall”. If there’s ever such a thing. I’ll definitely pay for a slab.
It will never happen because they know it would work.
Phase 1 of California’s high speed rail will cost $68 Billion. It is funded by cap and trade. By my calculation, that money would fund $6,400 per foot of a 2,000 mile wall. Very doable. Just redirect that money on the front end and make Mehico pay it back over time.
BTW - why do the same people who think high speed rail CAN be built think a much simpler wall CANT be built.
Freerepublic should have a drive and make a Kathryn Steinle memorial donation.
There’s a little spot in Campo California that I have squatters rights to.
As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.
Noting that Obamacare waste is estimated by some sources to be as high as $1.2 billion, the 760 million a year for a border fence seems like a bargain.
I’m in for a few bricks!!
I might add a YouTube search;

some plaque, but remember it will soon be marred with graffiti?
I think they’d be shocked by how many millions would be raised, and how quickly, if Americans could chip in for the wall.
