“Seriously? You live in the U.S. and don’t know what E15 is?”

Yes, dummy. Not ever State requires E15. Think outside of your tiny little neighborhood.

I want straight gas.

I actually saved a new generator with the “Mechanic in a Bottle” It would only run on full choke indicating a blocked jet. As it is an “EPA” carb, they are not repairable. I dumped the fuel which was treated with Stabil and refilled with a gallon of fresh with MIB. Pulled the cord with ignition off five times and let it sit overnight.

Next day it started and ran perfectly since. I then treated all my gas with Ethanol Shield.

Truly a great product.

The Ethanol Shield actually lowers combustion temps due to the alcohol in the fuel also.

Hey, a-hole. My state doesn’t require it either and I know what it is. Get out of your tiny mind.

Thanks for the tip on the MIB. I’ve been putting Sea Foam in the fuel for all of my motors this year since finding a clogged pump jet on the truck’s 4 bbl carb this spring. Just rebuilt that carb about three years ago but I don’t drive the truck much. Nasty goo in there.

Sea Foam won’t fix alcohol problems though so I’d better use some Ethanol Shield for the long winter’s sleep for truck and chain saw.

I had used B-12 Chemtool (acetone) and also SeaFoam in the generator to absolutely no avail.

Was ready to buy another carb and then had MIB recommended to me.

I’ve never had anything work like this for me.

I also have a 1969 Arians snow blower with an ‘84 Tecumseh that would blow oil for the first 45 minutes of use and occasionally thereafter. 2 tanks treated with MIB stopped it. Couldn’t believe it. I’m figuring the ring grooves had gunk in them and it cleaned them out after two tankful’s.

I also treat chainsaw fuel with it and the saws usually run much better. Also use it in farting outboards to clean them out.

I don’t know what is in it but it doesn’t seem like a solvent in my sense of the word but it usually works.

I'll have to get some to have on hand.

Doncha love it when a miracle cure works? In the '70s I had a '64 Chevelle beater that I picked up for $150 bucks. Dented doors, least options and (unfortunately) an auto trans. But it had a 283 small block. It started smoking a little and running lousy even though everything that could be tuned was tuned.

I dumped a can of STP in it, not hoping for much, and drove it 30 miles to visit family. On the drive back it belched a good puff of black smoke and started running great. That motor ran like a champ for 2-3 more years until I sold it to a friend to put in a Willys truck.

I’ll give the MIB a try, too. I use Seafoam to get various old engines going again. The premium gas here is still ethanol free and I use it in all the small engines. I had a 1980 golf cart that I rebuilt and we used around the place for chores. One day the premium jug was empty and wife dumped some regular with ethanol in it. It ran about 5 minutes then died and has been parked ever since. I just don’t feel like rebuilding the dissolved fuel system.

One thing I think about, when I fill a small one or two gallon gas can with premium, I look at that long thick gas pump hose and try to think how much ethanol is left in it from the last guy who filled up. Is half my gallon jug premium and half ethanol gas?

Just started up the generator today again after about 1 year with the Ethanol Shield. Started with two pulls under choke and then ran perfectly with choke off. What a difference from Stabil. No comparison.
