Is the Republican Party looking a gift horse in the mouth?

The Republican Party is facing a crisis. It has a candidate who is likely to win the nomination and could very well win the Presidential election. Yet they are doing their very best to see a repeat of the past two presidential cycles – nominating uninspiring candidates who have no chance of winning. The RNC would rather have a Democratic president, rather than support a reformer who would change the corrupt political structure of Washington. And they ignore the will of the people who are desperate to see that change happen....

Donald Trump has caught the imagination of not only conservative Republicans, but the country as a whole. When was the last time 25% of African Americans favored a Republican candidate? The RNC has never had an action plan to do that. Yet it is happening. The RNC is staring victory in the face but aiming for defeat. Its godchild Jeb Bush is facing a 7% polling number, a quarter of Trump's. He has tons of campaign money but it’s not working. He has loser painted all over his face

Absolutely true. They hate their base and would rather lose without them than win. They don’t have the strategic brains to realize that they are diminishing the GOP brand to the point of no return.

CNN and the rest still think they can get into the weeds with Trump on the issues. It is so incredibly stupid. The nation has been betrayed by the media and the politicos and people are too angry to care about policy minutiae anymore.

“The RNC/DNC runs the Convention and has changed the rules for Bush”.
I understand but the rules change cut off was September 15 . The rules vary by state but generally they cannot avoid the people. Colorado did a caucus only and stopped the straw poll. The funny thing is that the GOPe rigged the “winner take all” states to favor a RINO against multiple conservatives but it has now back fired badly in their face and Trump will get ALL THE DELEGATES!! while bush will get ZERO in many states.
THe party will try to wiggle free of the actual people and voters but they will not succeed. Trump will be nominated even in an open convention where delegates are bribed!! Can you imagine his power on that playing field. I love this!! I hate the GOPe like Satan !!

I would love it if Trump can win after a lot of overt RNC shenanigans. I would especially like to see him run the tables in those reliably Democrat states the RNC/Bush team is counting on. It is not impossible or even improbable this time around.
