The Club for Growth is a well-known, established conservative organization. Attacking them is not wise.
Funny. Let the CFG forward it’s salary list and an accounting of contributions vs. any actual work done.
Earlier in the week, the Club for Growth attacked Trump for his proposal to penalize Ford Motor Company for putting a car manufacturing plant in Mexico rather than Tennessee.
Donald Trumps threat to impose new taxes on U.S. car companies will hurt the American economy and cost more American jobs, David McIntosh, President of the Club for Growth, said in a statement.
What a putz, this McIntosh is.....Trump’s stand AGAINST sending American jobs to Mexico is going to cost American jobs?
Not to mention the shakedown they tried - and FAILED - to give Trump. He told them what to do with their Cheap Labor Express policies.
Trump is the ONLY candidate who cannot be/is not being bought.
I’m for Cruz—but he had better learn how to communicate. Yeah, yeah, yeah, national debate champ... He sounds as though he thinks his audience is slow. Result: BORING!
I’ll bet Trump talks at 200-250 WPM—i.e., like a human, and Cruz usually talks 100-150 WPM.
I was listening to another Cruz interview on radio. Agreed with 150% of what he said. But the nasal voice and the stammering are IRRITATING. “I-I-I...” “A-a-a-and...” It’s not a clinical stammer, I’m sure of it. I KNOW he’s not searching for the next word!!! It’s a mannerism he developed along the line. He needs to get rid of it.
he’s like the gope’s moby dick.
I like Trump and I’m rooting for him, but I can’t disagree that Trump’s call for tariffs fail to attack the direct causes of our economic problems.
Get rid of the DIRECT CAUSES of our economic malaise from the federal government and our economy will soon be humming regardless of the Chinese, the Japanese, the Mexicans, or the Man in the Moon.
- Get rid of MINIMUM WAGE, the DIRECT CAUSE of artificially forced higher costs and prices and incentives for businesses to move elsewhere. The new higher minimum wage is accomplishing this result already.
- Get rid of federal protection of UNIONS which are DIRECT CAUSES of higher costs and prices, lower quality, non-competitive products, and incentives for businesses to move elsewhere. Unions put Detroit out of business.
- Get rid of tons of dead-end, non-productive FEDERAL REGULATIONS, a huge DIRECT CAUSE of higher costs and incentives for businesses to move elsewhere. Anybody in business will tell you that.
- Lower ALL taxes at a flat rate to abolish the 75,000 page tax code and IRS power.
All of the above is because of federal governments unconstitutional and destructive interference in the economy as a direct cause of lower productivity, competitiveness, and manufacturing moving elsewhere.
This is a bit of old news, which I would love to hear more updated information about. First, what is their response to Trump and, second, what is Cruz response since he is up-to-his-eyeballs involved and funded by the group. There appears to be a clear shakedown and extortion attempted that is no different than what Jessie Jackson has mastered over the years. No surprise Rove and others are pulling the same thing.
” ... and start a trade war ... “
—
A trade war with Mexico? Like they have a bargaining position? If Mexico doesn’t like it, they can get over it.
Donald Trumps threat to impose new taxes on U.S. car companies will hurt the American economy and cost more American jobs, David McIntosh, President of the Club for Growth, said in a statement.
looks like a valid criticism to me.
Thus far Trum has talked about immigration. That is not the only important issue. If it were will those who support Trum also support a Democrat who’s right on immigration but nutter on all else????
Vet your candidates, please
Both sides of this spat are exaggerating. That’s not good for any of us.
I just now spent about 15 minutes searching through the CFG website. I note two things that either disturb me or I find very interesting.
1) I don’t see anywhere I could get at with respect to issues where illegals, amnesty, immigration or anything like that is discussed as a significant issue, and
2) They have “white papers” on most of the candidates. Read through most of their slides on the various sub issues for Bush, Cruz, Rubio, et al AND Trump. As far as I can see CFG is plainly against him, and they footnoted his comments in multiple instances, some going back to the 1990s. The odd thing about this is that there are no ‘footnotes’ for any of the other candidates.
This right here is enough to tell me I don’t want anything to do with those “Over 100,000 pro growth concerned citizens”.
Start? WE ARE IN A TRADE WAR NOW, and we are losing.
I’m beginning to see that many of these so-called consultants, advocacy groups, and think-tanks are nothing more than protection rackets.
Theyre a pack of thieves,
From what I have seen lately Trump is being kind.
