Be informed about the candidates, but be careful what you believe

Misinformation voters

In an election season, we often bemoan the low-information voter – the person who really doesn’t know that much about the issues or the candidates and goes to the polls having made a decision on the basis of trivia, or general feelings and impressions that don’t necessarily represent who the candidates really are or what they would do in office.

There’s no way Barack Obama would ever have become president without low-information voters.

But there’s another class of voters that may be just as dangerous, and perhaps we should call them the mis-information voters. They know a lot about the candidates. Unfortunately, much of what they know is simply not true.

You all know that I experienced this to the extreme when I ran for president four years ago. Anyone can come forward and claim anything about you, and if you’re not on the inside and you don’t know the facts it’s hard to tell a credible information source from a complete liar. (Although a good rule of thumb is not to believe anyone who presents their claims sitting next to Gloria Allred.)

Last evening, Sunday, Bill Cunningham (The Bill Cunningham Show) provided statistics indicating that Trump could not possibly win the nomination, let alone the presidency.

And, is Bill Cunningham God? I think not. He’s been wrong on things before and this isn’t an ordinary election cycle. Far from it. Past statistics mean nothing. Besides, he is a RINO lover.

LOL! Bill Cunningham has no clue whether Trump can win the GOP nomination or not. If Bush or Walker was polling this high Cunningham would be breaking out the champagne.

The “experts” do not seem to know how to calculate the
Anger, disaffection, frustration of the voters. For this
Reason their predictions so far have been off the mark.
Many esteemed “experts” expected Trump to be gone by now.

There are many in the field of 17 I would not vote for and
I do not believe I am untypical. That’s what the so-called
Experts do not understand. The other thing they do not get
Is that I, and those like me, do not give a dang what happens to the Republican Party.

Here is what I think about that...

Conservatives are supposed to be thinkers, we are not suppose to be like liberals driven by emotions and feelings, if we are studious know the facts and listen we should not be swayed by good words and fair speeches designed to deceive, separate truth from fiction, and realize the more truth a deceiver can use, the more successful the deception.

Apply a very basic biblical principle: Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine (in like manner our constitution) which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, (in like manner our country) but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

I watch THE CANDIDATES. I listen to THE CANDIDATES. I judge THE CANDIDATES.

Nowhere in that collection did i say the words ‘pundit’, ‘reporter’, or news media’.

Herman Cain appeared live on The Walton and Johnson Radio Show, back when he was a candidate. I listen to that show every week day. (I’m retired.) The two guys asked him if he had everything cleaned out of his closet, because if not someone would find it, and it would blow up in his face. Cain replied, on-air, that there was nothing that would be found, or could be found. He lied, somebody did, and there went his campaign.
