An Open Letter to Ted Cruz (Groan)
Blog Her ^ | July 6, 2015 | Laurelin Telperion

Posted on 07/06/2015 10:09:38 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Dear Ted Cruz,

As a taxpayer and constituent of yours in the state of Texas, I have one simple request: I would like to stop feeling afraid. You see, I am a woman, and I love another woman. Like you, I did not choose to be attracted to women. Like you, I married a woman that I love deeply and care about with my heart and soul. Unlike you, this has made me a target for hatred, vitriol, and state-sanctioned discrimination. Up until two weeks ago, my marriage, which was legally completed in New Mexico, a state which allowed same-sex marriage, and which was recognized by the federal government, was declared invalid in Texas. This meant that if I were to be hospitalized, my wife would have no right to visit me. It meant that if I died, my wife would not be considered my heir in Texas. Two weeks ago I rejoiced to hear the news that my marriage would no longer be considered second-class in Texas. I cried with joy. And then I cried with anger and frustration when I saw your response and the response of other Texas politicians.

Here’s the reality, Senator Cruz. I am a person; a real person with real feelings. And I deserve to live a life that is not ruled by fear. I deserve to be able to tell my boss and my coworkers about my marriage, but I don’t, because it is still legal in Texas for me to be fired because of my sexual orientation. I deserve to be able to hold hands with my wife in public, but I don’t dare to do so for my safety and hers. I am a free citizen of the United States living in a state that says it cares deeply for freedom, and yet I am terrified to put a Human Rights Campaign sticker on my car.

You can ask what this has to do with you. Well, when you refer to the day I celebrated my civil rights as the darkest 24 hours in US history, you imply that my happiness is part and parcel with the decline of the United States. You imply that by existing, my marriage is worse than Pearl Harbor and 9/11. You inflame the passions of everyday people for your own political gain, and the loser is me and all the people like me who live, not just in Texas, but in the US. I am writing to you because you are supposed to represent me in the government. I am writing to you because you claim you want people to feel safe in America. I am writing to you because you are my senator, and I am afraid.

Laurelin, in Tyler, TX

Faggies are the persecutors now. Ask any bakery owner.

“Those cake bakers in Oregon need to respond to this letter, They could teach her a thing or two about “hatred, vitriol, and state-sanctioned discrimination.”

Outstanding, her problem is nothing compared to their problem.

Laurelin, put down the beer. And slowly walk away from the ledge ...

You have unleashed the John Boehner in you. Cry and enjoy the euphoria of the moment and the victory of a deception rendered to your kind by the godless 5 men and women of the SCOTUS. A SCOTUS, who no longer interprets the law of our land (the Constitution) but legislates their own. They have put themselves above the voters and citizens of our nation, the Constitution, and in my opinion, GOD.

To you, and others like you, Ted Cruz is your worst nightmare because he dares to remind you this abominable decision for gay rights, established by judicial privilege, will not stand. It has no foundation on which to weather the storm which is brewing. It will be swept away in the storm to come.

Regardless of your’s or Ted’s personal feelings, you have GOD’s word on that. So, cry, and have a nice day while you can. This law will not stand.

Relax, Your Selfishness. Time to be far more concerned about the big picture here.

So go back into the closet and shut your mouth about your sick perversion.

"Bitter even in victory? Someone explain that to me."

If they go quiet now, they get no more attention and they can't play the victim anymore. Both are essential to the mentally ill deviants.

My guess is they use attachments and small electric motors, and all without leaving a wet spot.

The entire thing seems very silly to me.

“So, what pray tell, is she so afraid of?”

She is causing her own fear by her actions. Here’s why:

Do you yell out to the public wherever you go that you are heterosexual and wave a picture of her husband so everyone can see it? Do you constantly bring up your heterosexual life at the water cooler where you work or insist on telling others what a great night of sex you had with your husband?

If she would shut up and live her private life privately as most heterosexual people do, she would have no need to scare herself, for that is what she is doing. “Shut up” is a good tool for her to use and it’s free - just shut up - problem solved.

Gay privilege = Having activist Supreme Court injustices conform anything at your own whilm and imagination; and oppress and persecute those who do not conform.

Baalism in it’s fullist underworld unglory.

Just like Israel of old so too here in America the God of Israel is being rejected, trown out and another god ( false God baal ) is being tried to be put in it’s place.

We need to call it for what it truly is, pure demonic evil.

Homosexuality is demonic activity.

What a big fat lie. I am not the least bit afraid of queers. Just because I know what I know about queers, spiritually, medically and socially may be politically incorrect, but it is not fear. This whore should stop being afraid of the truth.

--------------

In J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium, the Two Trees of Valinor are Telperion and Laurelin, the Silver Tree and the Gold that brought light to the Land of the Valar in ancient times. They were destroyed by Ungoliant at Melkor's behest, but their last flower and fruit were made by the Valar into the Moon and the Sun.

Uh, okay.

Up until two weeks ago, my marriage, which was legally completed in New Mexico, a state which allowed same-sex marriage, and which was recognized by the federal government, was declared invalid in Texas.

Not surprising. I think you can still marry your sheep in New Mexico.
