We usually host a big ol’ 4th of July party at our house. Not feeling it this year. Seems ironic and phony to be celebrating ‘freedom from tyranny’.

The last few years I have shown up on the 4th of July saying “Happy DEPENDENCE Day”. Because that is what this nation has become. A nation of people dependent on the government.
