What sucks is I’ve developed gout and I should avoid protein!
OK, I know you’re a secret agent and all but can you reveal your sources?
I’ll have to watch this. When I first started practice in 1992, the US Gov’t sent me a chart of the new and approved “food pyramid” heavily weighted at the bottom with carbs - like the people who followed the gov’t dietary recommendations.
The FIRST thing I said when I saw it was “now for the diabetes epidemic.”
Prescient? No. I’d taken several courses on nutrition as an undergrad and my med school also had a 4 semester hour class requirement so I at least had a clue.
Carbs are cheap. Protein and vegetables are expensive.
A pound of rice or a pound of low-fat sirloin on a budget.
But this is simply more evidence of government advocating and giving advice where it has no constitutional authority.

If you haven’t seen it, I think you might enjoy HILLARY! UNCENSORED. :)
If you want something sorta mindless, however, I would recommend Beware of Mr. Baker, about drum legend Ginger Baker.
That “Fat Sick & Nearly Dead” guy is amazing, but I’m only turning up TONS of links to INTERVIEWS with him.
Is there a link to his actual documentary?
I really want to see this guy..!
Once I watched all those and the two you mentioned I got serious about eating food that is good for my body which I found out was not necessarily what the government and the food industry deems Healthy food.
I also watched Food Matters and Forks Over Knives on Netflix. Some interesting info.
