Welcome to Free Republic.
I doubt it was difficult for him. Tavis Smiley is just not very smart.
This is what Cruz should be saying and shouting more of. But, why was clip cut off? What else did they say?
Pee BS? I’ll wait.
Tavis Smiley?
Well, I’ll give Cruz lots of points for wading into the belly of the beast and making his case.
Bravo.
Couldn’t stand to watch it.
This fellow Smiley is just like any other leftist who compares apples and oranges in their gotcha questions to people with whom they fundamentally disagree.
Why doesn’t any conservative ask the following questions of hardcore “Progressives”?:
Why do you have no problem whatsoever with the display of the image of Che Guevarra at certain Democrat campaign headquarters, or the waving of Communist flags at a student rally after Barack Obama was elected but a big problem with the Stars and Bars which is a symbol of American history?
Does the fact that there are far more AK-47’s in circulation than m-2 carbines bother you?
Does it bother you that you have no desire to control the flow of communist-designed weapons to people who are the enemies of the United States yet you want to control the flow of American-manufactured weapons to law-abiding Americans?
Such questions to the self-appointed geniuses of the left would require them to conciliate contradictions that exist in their arguments but they will never be asked such inquiries.
Their arrogance and grandiose sense of superiority will apparently never be challenged.
IMHO
Actual Title:
“Ted Cruz Interview with PBS Tavis Smiley: 2nd Amendment and Gun Control 6/23/15”
Please have Mods change it.
So infringing on free peoples Constitutional Civil Rights is being sensitive?
Wow. Tavis set it up and Cruz knocked the ball out of the park!
To prevent duplication, please do not alter the published headline, thx.
I actually don’t think that was a good enough answer.
If the guy owned it legally before he started taking that medication, then his family didn’t do anything to take them away. Obviously he was psychotic while on it, and nobody took it away.
Just as a restraining order isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on, gun control laws aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on.
