A Cartoon Network writer has sent out an odd tweet using the hashtag #plannedparenthood.

Kelsey Abbott, whose Twitter page says she writes for Uncle Grandpa on Cartoon Network, tweeted this, If I ever accidentally have a baby, Im gonna dress it in a dog costume so hopefully my dog will raise it. #plannedparenthood
According to the Cartoon Network, Uncle Grandpa is everyone on Earths magical uncle AND grandpa, who travels around helping people and changing their lives forever.

The show is obviously not intended for the very young and is rated PG.
Common Sense Media describes Uncle Grandpa this way:
Parents need to know that although Uncle Grandpa is a cartoon, it isnt appropriate for very young kids. Body-related gross-out humor is the main offender, as issues like obesity, farting (including a tiger who passes a rainbow trail from his rear end that doubles as a weapon), and the removal and ingestion of ones own body parts are revisited ad nauseam. Theres no semblance of reality to the meandering, fantasy-based plots, and supporting characters are often rude to each other. Despite Uncle Grandpas craziness, he often proves himself helpful in a roundabout way. Violence is limited to physical exchanges with punching and kicking, as well as the occasional laser gun showdown or stray explosion.
From the looks of her twitter page, Abbott is obviously a comedian.
Although Abbotts tweet is bizarre she does not appear to have other public words of support for abortion giant Planned Parenthood.
Still, it is surprising that she would even put the term planned parenthood in a tweet given the potential outrage people might have in discovering that a Cartoon Network writer tweeted it.
Having said that, if you are writing for the Cartoon Network, it might be best not to tweet a joke about how you would let your dog raise a baby you accidentally had; a suggestion that could lead others to believe that you dont like kids.
Just Sayn.
Cartoon Network is no Disney Channel. It’s really off the wall and bizarre at times. It’s geared toward older elementary kids, esp. boys who are tickled by irreverent humor, although college kids seem to be fans, too. It’s fairly harmless, silly fun. And, yes, the plots are incoherent, but so are most adult shows/movies nowadays. I’m convinced most of today’s media entertainment is written by potted-up, Peter Pan, pajama clad adults, anyway.
I disagree CN is harmless for children. I’ve seen some really sick indoctrination on it, such as Rosie O’Donnell announcements that two women and a child is a family. Lots of sick little snippets snuck in.
I have to agree. They sure don’t make Bugs Bunny Cartoons like they used to.
I was raised on the 90s-early 2000s Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel. They’ve really dumbed down modern TV. Many of the cartoons I watched had hidden adult jokes and references but also were educational. I also watched the classic cartoons like Tom and Jerry and Looney Toons. It’s sad how stupid modern TV is in comparison.
Of all the things to get worked up about, I would put this really low on the list.
I agree about the agendas foisted on the young viewers. 2 Parent families with a Male father, Female Mother are rarely represented. The dads are often absent or dumb or both. As it is, I can barely watch most adult shows anymore with the gay/trans displays woven into storylines no matter how out-of-place they may be to the plot. It’s a mess. All in all, I wouldn’t put Cartoon Network on my child’s viewing list. There are much better choices for brainless entertainment.
It’s truly a form of sewage pumped into the home.
