Cartoon Network is no Disney Channel. It’s really off the wall and bizarre at times. It’s geared toward older elementary kids, esp. boys who are tickled by irreverent humor, although college kids seem to be fans, too. It’s fairly harmless, silly fun. And, yes, the plots are incoherent, but so are most adult shows/movies nowadays. I’m convinced most of today’s media entertainment is written by potted-up, Peter Pan, pajama clad adults, anyway.

I disagree CN is harmless for children. I’ve seen some really sick indoctrination on it, such as Rosie O’Donnell announcements that two women and a child is a family. Lots of sick little snippets snuck in.

I was raised on the 90s-early 2000s Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel. They’ve really dumbed down modern TV. Many of the cartoons I watched had hidden adult jokes and references but also were educational. I also watched the classic cartoons like Tom and Jerry and Looney Toons. It’s sad how stupid modern TV is in comparison.
