On Friday May 29, CNN's New Day show featured Chris Cuomo bloviating about a draw Mohammed free speech gathering in Arizona. He said the contest was not a freedom issue, because the right to free speech is certain, but rather a moral issue. He likened the contest to the use of the N-word.
In fact, use of that word is selectively defined as hate speech. And moral or not, under those laws, it is illegal. Cuomo and Pamela Geller got into shouting match over that analogy. Cuomo went on to opine that the other real problem with the event, in addition to its immorality, was that there is not enough gun control, because a Marine had advised people to bring their guns.

In the war between good and evil, if the good fails to recognize itself and assert its rights, it is paving the way for evil by aiding evil. The good must be selfish and be concerned with its own true interests, and act with unbreached virtue of integrity and not compromise its principles. It must also act with justice and make a moral judgment against evil and give evil what it deserves.
Funny, the Will County IL Sheriff is advising everyone in the county to get their FOID and Conceal/Carry permits to protect themselves because the Sheriff's department can't get to any call in under 5 minutes.
What does that make the Sheriff of the county I live in? (I say pretty damn' smart if you ask me.....)
Everybody is missing the point here.
As a society, over the last 20 years we have implicitly agree to make “the n-word” taboo, not to be uttered other than by members of privileged groups.
When we did so, we made a huge mistake, imo. We accepted the premise that certain words and actions should be taboo. Even though they don’t do physical harm to anyone.
All the leftists are trying to do now is to add additional words and actions to the taboo list. Once you’ve got such a list, it’s pretty difficult to come up with a principled reason why additional offensive words and actions shouldn’t be included.
Blazing Saddles couldn’t be made today. What does that tell us?
>>> Perhaps at the heart of these provocations is an implicit intent to begin the unavoidable violent confrontation that we all fear may well be coming. <<<
It is not provocation per se, it is defiance against Sharia law being imposed via ‘hate speech’ restrictions and censorship.
The Constitution says nothing about “Thou Shalt Not Offend” rather it promises freedom to speak one’s opinions even if those opinions may offend some thin-skinned twit with a political agenda. Indeed, it is offensive speech which is most subject to suppression that must be most protected.
And yes, there will be violence since the entire Muslim faith is diametrically opposed to, and at war with, western civilization. One side or the other will eventually be crushed.
Happy 239th Birthday to The United States Marines from Madison Rising
Back in the mid 1700s the patriots used a lot of speech that many, probably the majority, found offensive. All that talk about independence and breaking away from Great Britain certainly offended the Loyalists, who if I recall my history correctly were about a third of the Colonial populace. Thus one could say that the very founding of the country was based on speech that many found offensive.
But to assume that these people vote is an overreach I think. Most of these folks are so self-absorbed in their lives and are aware of their right to vote about as little as they have a clue about anything else Jesse queries them about. If he were to ask them the question,"Do you vote?" the majority would ask back, "Vote for what?"
It happens to the best of us.
FReegards!
It is my experience in life that many women appear to be hot until they open their mouths and throw water on that fire.
Well, HH, some huge demographic group voted the moron-in-chief in twice and it wasn’t you or me.
You make an excellent point.
It’s not called the , “Crazy Nut Network” for nothing
The universities are churning them out by the millions.
Or my favorite, CNN, the Communist News Network
Astute observation
“many women appear to be hot until they open their mouths and throw water on that fire.”
Hence the need for ball gags!
I call them the Clown News Network. Their latest hire is actually a comedian.....someone named W. Kamau Bell. Literally a comedian.
I just watched the coverage of that event (recorded) on Info Wars. He can take his NY opinions and shove them up his a...

Not a mistake. Calculated. Desired. Just as we have a direct attack on freedom of association, by requiring that private shops and businesses *must* hire quotas of certain groups.
