You want hypotheticals? Here’s one. (Krauthammer Opines)
WAPO ^ | May 2, 2015 | Charles Krauthammer

Ramadi falls. The Iraqi army flees. The great 60-nation anti-Islamic State coalition so grandly proclaimed by the Obama administration is nowhere to be seen. Instead, it’s the defense minister of Iran who flies into Baghdad, an unsubtle demonstration of who’s in charge — while the U.S. air campaign proves futile and America’s alleged strategy for combating the Islamic State is in freefall.

It gets worse. The Gulf states’ top leaders, betrayed and bitter, ostentatiously boycott President Obama’s failed Camp David summit. “We were America’s best friend in the Arab world for 50 years,” laments Saudi Arabia’s former intelligence chief.

Note: “were,” not “are.”

We are scraping bottom. Following six years of President Obama’s steady and determined withdrawal from the Middle East, America’s standing in the region has collapsed. And yet the question incessantly asked of the various presidential candidates is not about that. It’s a retrospective hypothetical: Would you have invaded Iraq in 2003 if you had known then what we know now?

Charles is a national political and geo-political genius and just destroys the so called 'Obama Doctrine".

Blame ISIS on Bush?

Liberalism is truly a mental, (and spiritual) disorder.

Krauthammer's contributions make Brett Bahr's 3:00 PM program worth watching.

Liberalism is truly a mental, (and spiritual) disorder.

Liberalism controls all the cameras, all the transmitters, all the satellites, the vast majority of all news papers and magazines, most of the internet, virtually all the tech companies.

That it is a mental disorder makes no difference. It has the power to hammer it's message to the American public and we don't.

Until we destroy the monolithic liberal control system for the information streams, we are not going to fix anything.

Obama is the worst idiot in the history of this nation, and the media is still covering up his horrible blunders. Did you see his latest polls?

The truth doesn't matter. What gets on the air is what matters.

For the past two days, Michael Savage has been wondering aloud on his show whether ISIS is a creature of US government (whose right hand doeesn’t know what its left hand is doing or vice versa). After all, he asks, the assets are there to destroy ISIS and yet it thrives.

Haven't you been reading Free Republic? FOXNEWS? DRUDGE?

The old media is dead, they (and you, apparently) just don't get it yet.

Have you seen the cable news ratings?

Quit watching the drive-by media and pay attention to what's happening all around you.

Even you and other low info voters are waking up and smelling the coffee.

Ain't truth great?

People my age can recall the Vietnam teach-in’s. Today we are experiencing the consequences of a government that follows the ideology of those teach-in’s.

Dead my @$$. They swung the last two elections. No, they are a long ways from dead. They may be dying, but they're a long ways from dead.

The problem we are facing is not whether or not *I* am watching the drive-by media (and you completely leave out the propaganda from entertainment that barrages us every day.) The problem is that the vast majority of stupid voters *ARE* watching it.

The votes of the stupid and uniformed count for just as much as do the votes of informed and sensible people, and the media steers these votes always into the Democrat camp. This is why we have been losing elections. This is why our own Party is neutered and afraid of it's own shadow.

The Liberal media is still the dominant force in American politics, and this is a situation we desperately need to change if we are to have any hope of salvaging this nation.

Take your own advice. Pay attention to what's happening all around you. We are losing ground every freakin day.

“Even you and other low info voters are waking up and smelling the coffee.”

Even the most brain-dead ignorant liberal will run into serious cognitive dissonance issues when they hear The Leader discussing the “minor setback” and the ISIS guys using Iraqi heads for soccer balls on the same newscast. Or the newscaster trying to bait Cruz in Texas on gays, followed by descriptions of them being stoned to death under Sharia law.

Dead my @$$. They swung the last two elections.

No they didn't, the GOPe gave us McCain and Romney; millions of conservatives didn't vote.

That's what swung those elections.

That's why I am more optimistic than you for 2016.

The Ted Cruz's (my choice) and Scott Walkers are electrifying the conservative base.

If one of them isn't nominated in 2016, then we're screwed.

You’re arguing against two valid points, when in fact, you’re both correct.

Ideology may be too kind a word for it.

This is such an amazing article! Thanks for posting PROCON.

Krauthammer: "The current situation in Iraq, says David Petraeus, “is tragic foremost because it didn’t have to turn out this way. The hard-earned progress of the surge was sustained for over three years.”

This is my take:

Why does ISIS hate America? (this is a typical Liberal question)

Answer:
Because we have Coca Cola, Disneyland, and Gay people

Bill O’Reilly pointed out on last night’s Factor that there are 50,000 ISIS and if the 60 nation coalition only provided 10,000 fighters each, that force would number 600,000 and would make quick work of destroying ISIS. Why is that not happening?

I agree with both viewpoints. However, one thing that really cranks me about all the insightful and brilliant columns and essays coming out of people like Krauthammer, Hume, Will, Kristol et al giving us something they think we will see as new and incredible.

We’ve seen it all along. We saw it before they did, actually. For years, these pundits sat around their offices and on Sunday TV panels, on Fox Nightly - mostly discussing the latest Obama-this or Obama-that in a calm manner as the only problem with him is this one single “this” or “that”. All calmly speaking of Obama as a legitimate, qualified President when they should have been shouting other wise from the rooftops years before now.

I’m past them - don’t really need them to sort-of validate what I think. I’m not interested in the norm and protocols of polite political punditry and the personal trappings and benefits that go with.

It isn’t loyal (but-not-too-vocal) opposition I want, and these problems we have now with this Administration and its ilk aren’t polite disagreement. They are about the destruction of this country, or its salvation. These guys should have been acting like it years ago.
