I'm 32, married with a kid, and have spent most of the last decade working on systems that will prevent accidents like this one, so I'm not willing to assume anything about this guy right off.
Except that like most fatal train accidents in recent years, it's going to be operator negligence. Read about the accident at breakfast yesterday and told my husband it would be speed related.
Nobody should be rushing to damning conclusions the way people here are.
