Islam and Cultural Jihad

“The belief that Islam is a peaceful religion and that Islamic terrorists have twisted that faith to unrecognizable extremes is a false interpretation that surrounds today’s narrative regarding Islam”, writes Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch.

The greater overall threat this misconception poses is neglected because of fear and outright denial to acknowledge what or who our enemy truly is. The more we lie to ourselves and allow our politicians, media and government officials to lie to us, the more we enable terrorists to become embolden.

Spencer further notes, “we cannot possible defeat an enemy whom we refuse to understand, refuse to study, refuse to listen to because he explains why he is our enemy in terms that we can’t bear to hear”.

The public discourse in our country that regards Islam as no different from Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism and others is a lie perpetrated against an American public whom is unaware of who their enemy is and what their goals truly are.

The enemy is a terrorist organization that goes by the name of the Muslim Brotherhood. Their goal is to eliminate and destroy Western civilization from within. The document that reveals how to achieve this goal is labeled An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America.

The 18-page document was entered into evidence in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial. Federal investigators found the document in the home of Ismael Elbarasse, a founder of the Dar Al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, Virginia, during a 2004 search.

The document was written in 1991 by Muslim Brotherhood operative Mohamed Akram. The document lays out the plans by the Brotherhood in America as a “civilizational alternative” for infiltrating non-Islamic forms of society and governance for the “global Islamic state”.

The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.

It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes.

The 1991 memorandum lays the groundwork for how a “cultural jihad” is to be achieved under the “process of settlement” which is necessary in order for Islam and its movement to become “a part of the homeland” in which it lives. In achieving the goal of the “process of settlement”, an “Islamic Center” is to be established in every city.

According to the memo these centers constitute the “axis of our movement” with the ultimate goal of “turn[ing] into a seed for a small Islamic society…a beehive which produces sweet honey, a place for study, family, battalion, course, seminar, school, social club and the office of the domestic political resolution” as well as “the center for distributing our newspapers, magazines, books and audio and visual tapes”.

In a nutshell, these “Islamic Centers” are to consist of 12 different “specialized organizations” that encompass a broad comprehensive set of characteristics and traits. Some of which include the following taken directly from the memorandum:

[1] The Educational Organization which includes An institute to graduate Callers and Educators and The Organization to spread the Dawa’ (Central and local branches)

[2] The Political Organization to create relationships and alliances such as The American Organization for Islamic Political Action as well as a central political party, political symbols and local political offices

[5] The Scientific, Educational and Professional Organization to create an Islamic University as well as an office for academic guidance and a body for authorship and Islamic curricula

[7] The Social-Charitable Organization for Islamic housing projects and to combat the social ills of the U.S. society

[12] The Legal Organization to establish a central jurisprudence council, a central Islamic court, a Muslim Attorneys society and The Islamic Foundation for Defense of Muslims Rights Rather than taking the Memorandum as the literal guiding principle used today by radical Islamists to wage a “cultural jihad“, we have instead become perversely reluctant to highlight the role played by not only this memo but by the Islamic ideology in motivating jihadists to commit terrorists attacks.

The reluctant attitude to label the motivation behind such terrorist attacks is directly attributed to the banishing of the use of terms like Sharia, Islam and jihad from public discourse out of fear of being labeled Islamaphobic.

With these terms removed and public discourse reshaped we have allowed government officials, media outlets, policy makers, advocacy organizations and our leaders to “conceal the ideological motivations of our Islamist adversaries in an era characterized by explicitly ideological contestation and ideologically-motivated asymmetric warfare“, writes Jeffrey Bale of the Terrorism Research Initiative.

Examining Islam as an ideology and as a system of governance that requires compliance and submission is critical to thwarting the threat it poses to our country.

Unfortunately, the concealment of Islamist core jihadist ideological motivations has further been exacerbated under an administration that repeatedly downplays the threat of radical Islam.

In fact, the administration has gone out of its way to effectively omit Islamic terrorism from all counter-terrorism training manuals.

Spencer notes that “the Obama administration has systematically removed any mention of Islam and jihad from counter-terror training manuals for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, and other law enforcement and intelligence agencies”.

According to documents obtained by Judicial Watch “references to Islam, Sharia and jihad have been removed from the national security dialogue and from the terminology of law enforcement, intelligence and defense agencies”. The reason being that such terms were “offensive” and derogatory towards Muslims.

By outsourcing it’s counter-terrorism training to supposed “Muslim rights” organizations, the government has effectively purged its anti-terrorism training curricula of material deemed bigoted by groups such as the Muslim Public Affairs Council, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Islamic Circle of North America.

As extensive as this list remains today, all references to mosques have also been removed from counter-terrorism training manuals.

The attack on our ability to identify and counter such terrorist threats is directly hindered by these organizations as they exploit our own laws against us.

Spencer further notes that “whitewashing is playing a large part in the intelligence failures that make continuing jihad activity in the United States possible”.

The whitewashing of Islam and the intelligence failures that allow jihad activity to continue is the major reason as to why terrorist attacks appear to be increasing throughout the Western world.

If we are to learn from the recent terrorist attacks that took place in France this week and cost the lives of 20 people, we must first look at how the government in France has surrendered authority to Muslim communities in the form of no-go zones.

There are an estimated 750 no-go zones across France that are compromised of up to 40 percent of France’s five million Muslims in which insular neighborhoods have become off-limits to non-Muslims. These areas function as micro-states that are governed by Islamic Shariah law.

The no-go zones have become so dangerous that authorities no longer provide basic public aid such as police, fire and ambulances services.

Military veteran and journalist Nolan Peterson explains that “efforts of Islamists like the Muslim Brotherhood or al-Qaeda to recruit off the streets of the no-go zones is not something that’s hidden in the shadows. It’s actually very open. It’s accepted. People just sort of go along and let this be the status quo”.

“These zones should not be allowed to exist, but that’s essentially what the French are letting happen in their own country, places where Islamists can freely recruit without any danger of prosecution, young disaffected Muslims into their ranks”, concludes Peterson.

What is happening in France is also happening in other European countries such as Germany and Britain that have effectively relinquished legal control in portions of its territory.

In Britain, where Islamic law has been enforceable nationwide since 2008, there are dozens of no-go zones, including all-Muslim enclaves in the London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Bradford where “Shariah Zone” stickers went up on utility poles and lamp posts in July 2011.

A group called “Muslims Against the Crusades” openly campaigns for the establishment of autonomous Muslim enclaves ruled entirely by Islamic law outside the reach of the British legal system.

In Germany, Chief Police Commissioner Bernhard Witthaut, in an August interview with the newspaper Der Westen, revealed that Muslim immigrants are imposing no-go zones in cities across Germany at an alarming rate.

Witthaut states, “every police commissioner and interior minister will deny it. But of course we know that these areas exist. Even worse: in these areas crimes no longer result in charges. They are left ‘to themselves.’ Only in the worst cases do we in the police learn anything about it. The power of the state is completely out of the picture.”

For us here in America, look no further than Dearborn, Michigan to see the example of what appears to be one of our first no-go zone.

In an incident caught on camera that occurred during the annual Dearborn Arab Festival on June 17, 2002, Christian preachers carrying placards and wearing T-shirts bearing mild statements of their belief in Jesus Christ were subjected to assault by the Muslim community.

An unruly crowd of many dozens of Muslim Festival-goers, both men and women, old and young, and including children became verbally abusive and then physically violent with the Christians, pushing, shoving, and hurling objects at them that included bottles, eggs, and rocks.

Clearly visible on the video are images of dozens of these projectiles that came flying at the Christians while the mob chanted “Allahu Akbar” and local law enforcement officers refused to interject, which can be seen on the video at the request of the Christians, to protect their First Amendment rights.

In the case of Dearborn, the legal system of Sharia in effect, was enforced by default by officers who are sworn to defend American law, not Islamic law. With the increasing rate of Muslim immigrants arriving in Dearborn, it may be a matter not of if, but when it becomes a no-go zone.

If they continue to chose not to assimilate to our culture then it becomes inevitable. It is a slippery slope when police officers stand by and refuse to protect a Christians right to protest in favor of allowing a Muslim mob to outright assault them for their opposing views.

There is a reason if this, say, is the first time you’ve seen the video and that is because the roles were not reversed. You only need to ask yourself one question. If the victims had been the Muslims and the perpetrators had been the Christians would the mainstream media had covered it?

It is this exact type of apologetic response by our media that places us at a disadvantage to understanding the truth behind the war that is being waged against us. And make no mistake about it, we are loosing this war.

Take one look at the response drawn from the mainstream media as Islamic jihadists slaughtered 20 people in their three day reign of terror in France. The entire media narrative has placed the blame solely at the foot of Charlie Hebdo.

Rather then blaming the jihadists, the media has chosen instead to blame a satirical cartoon artist for printing his drawing of Muhammed. Furthermore, the media has acquiesced in refusing to simply reprint the cartoons in what would have shown solidarity for the belief in freedom of speech.

We must look to counterterrorism experts such as Steven Emerson, Frank Gaffney Jr., Stephen Coughlin and Robert Spencer and follow their advice on explaining the “cultural jihad” that is happening both here and abroad.

Specifically, in regards to the recent events in Paris, we must follow Spencer’s advice and stand in solidarity by proclaiming that “enough”.

This is the time to say, We are going to stand for the freedom of speech. No more people are going to die for saying things that offend Muslims, for the capacity to be offended and not respond with violence is essential to a pluralistic society.

It occurs to me in light of this article that perhaps The Lie is exactly this - the utter BS that Islam is a religion of peace. The consequences of this simple, stupid mistake are incalculable. A simple truth. And the stubborn refusal to accept it.

In January 17,2015, and in the same public school center, there was a “Stand with the Prophet” rally by Muslims, a pro-Shariah law event, by supporters Al-Qaida and Isis organized by one of the terrorists implicate in the bombing of the garage of the NY World Trade Center in 1993. I wonder if those who try to blame the organizers of the “First Annual Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest,” for the Muslim terrorist attack would have justified if some patriotic American had irrupted in Muslim rally on January 2015 and made a massacre of Islamic terrorists. After all, Americans are profoundly offended by the abuse of our freedoms by those who made the Muslim rally in support of the savages that decapitate, crucify and burned Christians alive, a real grievance more justified than the alleged offense provoked among the Islamic fanatics by the Mohamed cartoons.
