Faithful readers of this blog will recall a recent post about low morale in the Army. Go here to read about it. Now we have this story which succinctly demonstrates why the morale is plummeting.
On Monday, Army ROTC cadets at an Arizona State University campus were reportedly pressured into participating in an event allegedly designed to promote awareness of sexual violence against women, the Washington Times reported. The event, according to reports, required cadets to walk around campus wearing red high heel shoes.
Last year, the Times said, the Army encouraged cadets to voluntarily participate in what was billed as “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes.” This year, however, cadets weren’t given much of a choice, according to many reports. Visitors to Temple University Army ROTC’s Facebook page and other social media sites made it clear the event wasn’t exactly voluntary.
“Attendance is mandatory and if we miss it we get a negative counseling and a ‘does not support the battalion sharp/EO mission’ on our CDT OER for getting the branch we want,” one cadet said on social media. “So I just spent $16 on a pair of high heels that I have to spray paint red later on only to throw them in the trash after about 300 of us embarrass the U.S. Army tomorrow.”

1. Political correctness run amok? Check.
2. Troops being used as pawns for political purposes? Check.
3. Officers currying favor with leftist powers that be? Check.
4. Officers demonstrating that they could care less about their troops? Check.
5. The Army demonstrating that whatever it is doing today has little to do with fighting wars? Check.
My family has a long tradition of military service. I would have to think long and hard about whether I would advise anyone to enter the military today with the current clown posse in charge. These malevolent idiots are going to get a lot of good men and women killed before they are done.
I don’t know, everyone being blamed for rapes that are committed by a few troublemakers in the military deserving castration and prison? Sounds pretty disturbing to me.
Let’s try this on the Gitmo detainees - and watch the ensuing ‘outrage’.

Any young person I know who is contemplating a military career I would advise otherwise for the time being,until we get people in charge who know what they’re doing. Incidents like this are totally un-military & un-warranted in my opinion.
Who is the active duty colonel who is the Commandant of Cadets for the unit? 10:1 it is a woman.

How will “good” people get to be in charge if “good” people don’t join up? By the way there are some real good people currently in the armed services even after the Obama purge.

I fell for your way of thinking for awhile until I visited with some active duty friends.
I understand your concern but my advice to anyone reading this is to “man up” and pay respect and honor to those who have sacrificed for this country. Do your duty as a citizen. We can make this great country again but it will take work and sacrifice, personal sacrifice.

Sounds like an unlawful order to me, so you are within your rights to refuse it. May cost you a career but I would tell the to pound sand.
I would gladly make some sacrifices just to push to keep something good. I gladly will teach my own children everything that the pc crowd either won’t mention or will call “hate” and I really won’t care. I will gladly encourage people to join as well, because when nobody decent does, they pretty much hand over complete power by default.
Here’s Why One Former Gov. Is Telling Christians Not to Join the Military
Now’s not the time for Christians to enlist, according to some.
In an interview with Iowa radio host Jan Mickelson this week, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee advised Christians to stay away from the military — at least until President Barack Obama is out of office.
I predict this will backfire on the feminazis pushing this crap. In the future, many of these male ROTC students will have ample opportunity, as officers, to sit on a variety of boards for a multitude of personnel. Wait and see how many radical females get the thumbs up from a majority of this group. Been there, done that, got the shirt and don’t feel one bit sorry for it.
