Peter Cottontail will no longer go hop, hop, hopping along anybodys bunny trail now that the Marxist bat of sustainable ecosystems has been officially installed
The lily white and seashell- pink eared Easter bunny must be abig, bad racist.
Thats right, Peter Cottontail, being white as a cloud is racist, doesnt teach the dangers of global warming to little Easter egg-hunting children, so the White House has already replaced him/her/it (LGBT politically correct) with a big, black live bat for this years traditional Easter egg roll.
Dry your tears, children, Peter Cottontail will no longer go hop, hop, hopping along.

I wouldn’t expect anything less from the dark side.
I don’t mean Obama being half&half when I say dark side. I am talking about darkness as in being on the side of evil.

Bats are important pollinators of bananas and avocados, the cacao plant, which we make chocolate from, and even the agave plant, which we make tequila from, Mies says. Sure bats are important pollinators but the Flying Fox is a fruit bat not a pollinator.

Maybe I need more coffee, but I don’t understand this headline since the Easter Bunny was at the White House and bats are nocturnal so they wouldn’t be at a morning or afternoon egg hunt.

I associate the bat with Halloween, not Easter.

Can ANY Journalism major EVER get a headline correct?
The bat did not REPLACE anything. The guy-in-a-bunny-suit was still there. But (for some reason) so were bees, and honey, and eco-guys discussing the important of pollination... and the big, soft, friendly (non-pollinating, but who's checking?) bat was the coolest attraction.

Hope they get sick from the bat guano. Even the CDC warns against exposure to it, ie. the Nipah virus specifically related to the bats from Malaysia.

The article covers that as well. It says the bat is nocturnal, and they had to get to the White House at 430am for security checks etc. The handler joked that he wished he could get the bat some coffee.

I thought they meant a baseball bat since today is opening day.

Yeah, but who is going to get all outraged and click on an article that says there’s a bat included in the petting zoo at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll?
