Whoa!
Just found this on Facebook.
Soutien à Andreas Lubitz, héro de l’Etat Islamique
Support for Andreas Lubitz, hero of the Islamic State
I wonder if someone did this intentionally?!
Almost every word in this article about pilot certification is incorrect.
I posted this on another thread too...makes you wonder what this young man was about. He was only 28. So bizarre.
They pull data from the FAA Airman Certification database and generate these pages for any pilot. Do a search for the name of any pilot you know and they will have such a page.
You can search for any pilot with an FAA certificate here (but must first enter information about yourself): https://amsrvs.registry.faa.gov/airmeninquiry/
This guy had a foreign-based restricted Private cert and 3rd Class FAA medical. Probably did some flying for fun when he visited the US.
And that Aviation Business website is an on-the-fly Search Engine spoof generator product, with all the earmarks. It’s noise, regardless.
I call BS. Seems to me this German was flying around Europe.
Good Lord. . .met or exceeded the standards is not being lauded by the FAA. . .means he is licensed.
This is click-bait.
You can find my name with the same automatically-generated article.
My working theory is that the co-pilot was despondent over Netanyahu’s reelection.
I think Lubitz was gamer and wanted to experience crashing a plane into a mountain. The fatal flaw in this plan was to explain the experience you have to survive the crash, which, most gamers do.
