One of Reagan's pushes was to block grant money to the states so they could decide how to spend it. This was supposed to be a way of reducing federal power, and it sounded good at the time. Liberals manipulated the system, and Reagan failed. The truth is that the best and perhaps only way to reduce federal power is to reduce the size of FedGov. Even block grants are part of FedGov because they are a lever to compel obedience.

We need to shrink FedGov steadily, with unnecessary programs such as block grants and other non-federal roles shrinking along with their corresponding taxes on a known (four year?) schedule so that liberal states can (if they wish) increase local taxes on the same schedule to keep their total government just as huge as it is today. Free states can choose to have more freedom and less total government. Everyone wins what they have chosen.

Maybe they just picked high minority population cities, to accomplish the scenario that I see happening -

riots, people defending their lives and property, and the police stepping in siding with the rioters.

I did not know that. I know that Dallas is blue and assumed with the close proximity that FW would be blue, too. Perhaps FW is simply addicted to the fed bucks.

Stockton is someplace Special, according to their City logo. I have called it little Tijuana for years, also the town where the police force chased a wanted man for hours all over town, and filled the hostage he had with more then 80 shots. Filed bankruptcy more then once, Blacks have been there for about a century, lots of Farmers and Ranchers for years, not much now.

This is why all Federal funding for law enforcement must be terminated, as there is only 1 legitimate reason for the Feds to give local law enforcement money, and that is for locating and appending illegal aliens.

That money should be available on demand on a bounty basis.

All other support should take the form of cheap asset transfers/sales and of course investigative lab resources.

well this morning Mr GG2 was cruising through a gun store in our area. The ATF were in there doing an audit. He observed an agent doing mass photo copying of 4506’s 40 at a time. I emailed one of our senators and our US rep about it. Who knows if they will do anything. This is totally illegal.
