I stumbled on a neat little trick which has had me mesmerized for the past few days.Is anyone else doing this?
I'm pretty sure that both iOS and Android (probably others), allow you to issue a voice command: "Planes overhead," and using your location, will give you details of the flights in your vicinity. You might be able to combine that with the named websites on this thread.
LiveATC(LAX) + Live KLAX WebCam is a gas(yeah, I'm old).
...but only when they point it at the North/South complex runways...which they occasionally do during the day(unfortunately mostly pointed at the terminal entrance).
That's about as close to live plane-spotting as you can get, without actually being there.
Did a lot of spotting north of the 24 complex years ago, also near the south complex on the approach end.
...bet those days are long gone(post 911).
...'course then there's buying your own RTL-SDR USB device(cheap)+ mapping software(adsbscope, etc)...and make your own radar/tracking(very cool).
