...a piece of Orwellian feminist horseshit that dresses up male control as romance and agreeing to be abused and dominated as feminist empowerment. That is the best synopsis of the "50 shades phenomenon" I have seen to date.

"Protesters Swarm "50 Shades" Screening" From the pictures it doesn't look like much of a "swarm."

Well, it does.
But wait til Sharia Law comes and the gals have to dress in a potato sack, get beaten regularly by their patriarchal husband, are not allowed to drive, and be killed by the patriarch if he feels they have dishonored him.

Dear Protestors:
Pick an Amendment from The First to The First.
Got it? Read it.
Is anybody forcing you to see the movie?
I didn’t agree with the rantings of Michael Moore or Al Gore, so I stayed away from their movies. Suggest you use the same strategy.

It and they are totally irrelevant.

Why don’t these furry legs protest outside Planned Parenthood? PP was encouraging young (under 18) to submit to BDSM encounters with their boyfriends when the sex gets ‘dull’.

1) It was written by a sick, dysfunctional mommy. 2) Pretty sure that the audiences consist mostly of desperate women with daddy issues. This has really nothing to do with actual men.

A movie that very few men will willingly see, based on a book that very few men willingly read allegedly “Supports the Patriarchy”? I don’t think men or “patriarchy” are the issues with this chick flick based on a girl book. The issue is women with no self-esteem who think there is anything romantic in unquestioning obedience to a dangerous man, whether it’s a handsome billionaire (50 Shades, and sequels), a handsome vampire (Twilight, and sequels), or the typical drunken wife-beater (real life, far too often).

Feminists are never happy. They can’t be because of the hypocrisy in their belief system, they don’t even know it.
Vagina Monologues anyone? They encourage female sexual empowerment yet when they engage in this empowerment they cry foul when men see them as sexual objects!!
So women can only be sexually empowered so long as it is the “right” kind of feminist sex?
lol - this is what happens when human thought runs wild without following an ethics system.

When I graduated from college in the late 70’s, pornography was widely deplored by feminists as it degraded an objectified women.
These days, pornography is celebrated by feminists as liberating and empowering women’s sexuality.
The narrative kinda turned on a dime when guys like Larry Flynt started pumping big bucks into the DemocRAT Party.
