Taya Kyle appeared on Fox News just a couple days before a Hollywood blockbuster film depicting her husband’s remarkable story and tragic death was released nationwide last month.

All it took for the widow of Chris Kyle to break into tears was watching a trailer of director Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper, with two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper playing Chris Kyle, a Navy SEAL considered the most accurate and lethal sniper in U.S. military history. The rest of the story here.

"Chris Kyle, a Navy SEAL considered the most accurate and lethal sniper in U.S. military history."

I don't know about most accurate but the confirmed numbers do appear to make him the most lethal.

It’s hard to know who was the most lethal sniper because the rules of a “confirmed kill” changed since Vietnam. Then you had to have an officer as a witness to the kill to be confirmed. Gunny Hathcock had 93 confirmed kills but over 300 unconfirmed.

Not only that but sniping in a desert urban environment is a lot different than sniping in a jungle. Anyone who's hunted in a forest and hunted on an open plain understands this.

an open plain is HARDLY an urban environment. that urban environment is helluva lot closer to the jungle/forest than it is to an open plain.

not too many long straight open roads in the middle of the jungle. Most sniper nests in urban middle east cities are looking down a road corridor.

1st, God help and heal those families. To hear he was going to see his wife and children later in the day is just heartbreaking.
2nd bill maher and moby moore and those young turk assholes must be praising his coward of an assassin as a hero.
3rd I hope my son breaks Kyle’s record.
4th I don’t want to hear the white house respond or even mention Kyle’s name. Effin muslim.

I like Tara Kyle. She’s tough, outspoken, and attractive too. And she will not allow anyone to try to tarnish Chris’s legacy.
