Unusual chain of coincidences, a pathological liar finally getting his comeuppance. But Barack Obama is a pathological liar and nobody in the media is ever willing to call HIM on it. Strange that Brian Williams should fall now
Twelve years ago Brian Williams made an astonishing claim. He said a Chinook helicopter he was flying in was shot down in Iraq. Now, few would believe such a claim could be a lie, because nobody would make such an easily verifiable claim if it were. It is an exercise in the strategy of Joseph Goebbels; if you are going to lie you go all in.
There is only one problem; reality disagreed with Williams’ claim. So did everyone who was present. The truth just came out, thirteen years later.
This is puzzling, very puzzling. Why did it take so long for an obvious fabrication to be noticed by the media? It’s not as if the executives at NBC were unaware of the problem. But for some strange reason nobody bothered to check on this matter - until the military publication Stars and Stripes broke the story.

Why so long?

raking in money and kickbacks
as the EXEMPT preen before them.
The guys involved did not have access to the news as well as they do back at home. They probably never knew what he was saying. They knew Brokaw was there, albeit later and not involved.
And think of how much the Internet has changed in 12 years. Twitter was a dream back them. And who would the guys have complained to back then.
It is a very different world of communications today.

The Democrats have no one else, and the Republicans seem intent on pushing anyone but Cruz.
Interesting that this story comes from outside the US.
If Hillary doesn’t run, some governor will jump in. This will be like ‘92 when Bill C came out of the field.

Maybe it’s fair to say that the Military types DO NOT watch Brian... and it took THAT long for them to catch on to what he was doing!
For this to burst forth the way it has bespeaks a broad and deep reservoir of ill feeling towards Williams amongst his supposed cohort. I’d like to know the source of this animus. It certainly can’t be just that he’s a jerk. Jerks are widespread and notorious in the press. It can’t be that he’s a self-aggrandizing egoist for the same reason. Something unseen behind the public facade is feeding this (well deserved) feeding frenzy.
In ‘92, Clinton was the last man standing for the Democrats.
All a big distraction from WWIII brewing in Ukraine and ISIS’ march through the Middle East, UNabated.

In 92 all of the heavy hitters stayed out because Bush looked unbeatable with his 90% approval rating. The dynamic changed quickly and the country became quickly dissatisfied. Clinton + Perot equals not enough to electoral votes and Bill snuck through with 43% of the vote.
I’d say the biggest supporter of Brian Williams in the media today is Steve Kroft of CBS for taking the attention off Kroft for his philandering ways.
I think there was some collusion here as well which helps to explain why such a big lie from such a prominent anchor was kept alive for so long because it turns out that none other than Tom Brokaw himself actually KNEW that Williams account was a fabrication for YEARS yet did & said nothing.
Actually Tsoukalos does not say that aliens built the pyramids, but he does assert that ancient man built them with the help of “alien technology” & blueprints. One thing he stated which stands out was his jarring & astute question: “where are the blueprints?” [ to the pyramids ] One would think that such a massive undertaking would have originally started with a blueprint. No modern day architect would ever construct a building without first creating or drawing up a blueprint first.
I always like to remind Clinton’s defenders and champions that Ol Billy won by less than 50% of the popular vote. The only reason he won was because Perot split the conservative vote.
We could also state was the only reason we did not have President Gore was because of the Green’s Party Ralph Nader which captured 2% of potential Gore voters.
Meanwhile...The Liar in the White House keeps his job. “If you like your plan you can keep your plan.” FUBO!!!
