Russell Wilson seems like a very good role model for kids and grown ups. I hope Seattle can afford his new salary after his current contract expires..
This Superbowl will be his last game under the current contract.
I actually think he’s happy. But will no doubt ask for a few more than his current 600K!
As far as I know he is an excellent role model and he certainly has earned whatever his new salary will be.
It looked to me like he he was leading some of his teammates in prayer after the game.
Wilson’s salary - not sure if they can afford it - but they will pay it. The tough one will be if they can pay Marshawn Lynch too, and accept whatever terms he wants.
A lot of the players are good role models - of course they aren’t perfect. I’m guessing that is the way with most of the NFL players giving back to their communities. Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch have summer football camps back in Oakland. Lynch flies a bunch of kids up from Oakland on Friday to watch practice and meet players, and then the game on Sunday.
Wilson spends a few hours every Tuesday at the Seattle Children’s Hospital visiting kids - and is helping them promote their “Strong against Cancer” research. And every chance he gets, Wilson talks about God.
I saw the photo of the after-game prayer - even a Packer’s player in there!
