I blinked at my computer screen. It was a response to an email I had sent to a friend telling her I was 12 weeks pregnant and that the father was someone I had met during my summer abroad. He didnt know I was pregnant and I had no plans to tell him.
I had expected surprise or at the very least, Congratulations! but her response made me briefly wonder whether I was setting myself and my baby up for a lifetime of second guessing.
Still, 10 weeks later, now that Ive found out Im having a daughter, my position is clear, if controversial: Despite the unfairness and complications, I will not tell this man that he has a child.
I met Nick at a bar one Thursday night in Dublin, where I lived for several months while working on a writing project. I had gotten used to exploring my new city alone and meeting whoever came along. After a few vodka sodas, I invited Nick back to my apartment. The truth is, I didnt want to talk to him anymore. He and I disagreed about almost everything. Still, the physical connection was palpable.
We had sex, and in the moment, neither of us were as careful as we should have been. As we said goodbye, we had an awkward conversation. And youre okay? He asked tentatively, clearly referring to birth control.
I nodded. I wasnt, exactly my birth control prescription had run out a few months before and, because I was abroad, I hadnt gotten a new one.

Passion creates error.
Well if she goes for any public assistance she may very well be required to declare paternity.

I thought this would be written my a 20 something. Land’s sake this woman is 31 years old. So this pregnancy was no error. She deliberately set out to become pregnant by a stranger to save the sperm bank fee.
Obammycare will take care of her..... that means each of us will pay for it.
She set herself up for a lifetime of second guessing when she had her one night stand.
There is no girl on the planet easier to bed than an American on vacation in Europe. This dummy (either one)should have spent the 50cents on a condom. At least she isn’t killing the baby.
He might be a criminal!! Then why’d you have sex with him, you stupid loon.

hmmm ...
—I only know Nicks first name—
And youre okay? He asked tentatively, clearly referring to birth control.
He was also probably asking about STDs but she is too vain to realize it.
“She thinks his name was John” by Reba
There has always been selfish twats who lie and deceive men regarding paternity.
So the father doesn’t know. Oh well.
But her child knows. The child knows his mother didn’t love him enough to provide a proper home and good guidance. The child knows he will always be socially, educationally, economically disadvantaged.
The child is a bastard. Thanks Mom!
Stupid girl.
Notice how many times she used the word “I” or variants thereof. She doesn’t care about others, and this means she won’t care for her daughter, either. It’s all about “me me me”.
She didn’t like her father, but she still had one. There is a good likelihood that her daughter will not like her, but will have no “port in the storm”, a parent who cares about her, who will put her needs first.
Read the article. SHE’S AN IDIOT.
Pretty much sums it up. You are a sleazy skank who got knocked up from a one-nighter. Not unusual or particularly complicated. Certainly not worth hearing about. There are a lot of you out there ...

um... no. This woman knows NOTHING about men! that wasn’t at ALL what the man was referring too! He wanted to know if she we “ok” that they had just had a one night stand!
