On the rare occasion I find myself in agreement with President Obama, I get nervous.
It just feels like a setup. Like someone's going to pull the rug out from under me at any moment.
But right now, I have to admit, I was very pleased to hear the news that the U.S. and Cuba are moving to normalize relations.

Continuing the Cuba embargo is not only a huge waste of taxpayer dollars, but it's unethical and not aligned with conservative values.
To: LibertarianTreehugger
It’s also absolutely pointless considering our entire government is manned by extremely radical and vehement communists.

We should have done this 40 years ago. I just hate to see Obutt get the credit for it.

Maybe we should ignore the violence and atrocities Castro commits against his people?

There are a lot of dictatorships out there. Doesn’t keep us from having diplomatic relations with them.

His murdering over 100,000 dissidents is a conservative value.

Here’s the question. What does Castro have to give up?
The answer is, Nothing.
This is nothing but flat out capitulation, but then again, would you expect anything more from this administration?

Is it possible Obama and the libertarians can think of the murders committed by Castro as merely late term abortions, and in that way somehow feel okay about it?

On the rare occasion I find myself in agreement with President Obama, I get nervous. I never understood the purpose of an embargo. The more people get exposed to core, conservative American values, the more they want to be like us.
Just don't give them any money or aid. It will end up in the pockets of the oppressors.

So, Obama reverses a JFK Policy and nobody mentions it?
The Embargo wasn’t started by those mean Republicans.
