My father, James W. Bryan III 74, was in the hospital for dehydration. This morning at 10 AM he had a pulmonary embolus. Luckily he was very well oxygenated and was sent to ICU immediately. TPA anticoagulant was introduced and he is responding well to blood pressure medicine. Precedex given. working good. May have to increase. He is responding well to all medications. Thank you for your prayers and concerns. If you guys don't have an Trust or family plans in these types of events consider this a warning. Luckily we have everything set up should things go south.
Prayers and knowing what I know about this, hopefully he’ll be fine.

(prayer) for your dad. Thanks for posting/sharing.
Prayers for you and your family! Sounds like things are working as well as be expected. You have medical reasons for hope, but of course, you have the greatest reason to hope, Jesus Christ!
very glad to offer prayers for your father and for you and your family, DCBryan1. I hope he is better soon and may God bless him and you all...

I prayed for him and his family
Prayers sent.
Prayers for your dad, and for your family, as well as his medical team. It sounds like he’s in good hands and getting good treatment. Here’s hoping he parts ICU ASAP.
Best wishes to your family, Bryan, and your father will be in my prayers. My father died last month, and the only positive element was that they had all their legal affairs nailed down so there was no confusion or surprises.
Adding prayers
Prayers up. May all go well wirh your Dad.
FReepers, please pray for my great-grandson, who will receive a liver transplant tomorrow at Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital. The little guy is only 6 months old.
Also pray for the donor, a beautiful young Christian woman, who is undergoing the surgery and donating one of her liver lobes.
The baby’s name is Judah. The donor wishes to remain anonymous.
What a gift to give for Christmas!
Last update for the day: my brother has just flown in and is a medical doctor. He is talking with the RNs and eICU nurses. Dad is still critical stable but we are feeling your prayers. trust me when I say prayers work! Truly you are bringing comfort to our family. God bless you freepers!
Prayers on the way.
Lord Jesus Christ, be near Thy servant James in the hour of his trial and comfort his family.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
Prayers up for your Dad, and the rest of the family as well.
