It's a video, so no body of thread.

E.g. (teaser), hard-cord Obama supporter "Questlove" Gomez, responsible for greeting Michele Bachmann's appearance with Jimmy Fallon by having the band playing the song "Lyin' Ass Bitch." "Questlove," oh so deeply tweeted: "his name was Eric Garner. #EndPoliceBrutality."

Then they should sue DeBlasio and the NYPD Union.

I am OUTRAGED that these people are committing CRIMES (which is why they are involved with the police in the first place)

I'm not sympathetic about Michael Brown AT ALL.

But this case, in NYC, stinks.

Why? The cop broke no laws, and he will most likely face departmental charges and lose his job.

Why wasn’t a taser used in this situation - it seems it was the exact type of situation a taser was adapted to deal with.

Seriously, since it is “black” celebrities that are “outraged”

do they propose that our country adopt two sets of rules,
like we have with PC speech?

Blacks can commit these offenses X,Y,Z with impunity,
but whites cannot?

Yeah, selling cigarettes is a capital crime now.

Good point, although someone with Garner’s medical condition might have succumbed to the jolt of electricity.

Every one of these race-baiting stories looks convincing at first, then falls apart as soon as the facts come out. The grand jury reviewed the facts, and decided not to indict. I’m not questioning this one.

In this situation i agree. And taken down to the ground for selling loose cigarettes? NY must be losing legit taxpayers by the drove to focus on this petty tax 'crime'. Maybe they should have issued the man a ticket.

NYPD police officers don’t carry tasers.

I am. I saw the video. No need for that behavior, period.

But this doesn't surprise me. America has fallen and something very dark has taken her place. Of course we will have teams of roid-raging muscleheads roaming around, so did Hitler (minus the 'roids). Now they do this sort of stuff, but soon enough it will visit you and me.

"NYPD police officers don’t carry tasers."

But they carry radios. Couldn't they have made a radio call asking for back up with a taser? Or does the whole department not have any tasers?

Selling cigarettes is not a capital crime. Resisting arrest can result in your death, though.

Some sergeants and lieutenants carry tasers. Not all. If you called a boss to the scene for one perp resisting arrest you’d have a difficult time explaining why. And with all of Garner’s medical conditions who’s to say you wouldn’t get the same outcome? Bottom line: if there’s probable cause for your arrest, don’t fight the cops.

Not too much surprises me anymore. I've seen too many impossible things in the past few years. I never thought I'd live to see the fall of America, but here we are. We may disagree about some of the details, but I'm sure we're both longing for the same great nation of our youth.

I’m wondering to what extent the NYPD’s lowering of standards (in large part due to affirmative action btw) is a factor here?

That should be a ticketable offense, not an arrest.

NYers make so much noise about the death penalty for murderers and this guy gets it for selling cigarettes.
