Punch a cop, grab for his gun, get shot. End of lesson.
I started to read the article, but I did not get very far, as I am sure you can imagine. It sounds like he has a lot of white guilt. I do not suffer from that disease. If these dip wads have so much guilt, why don't they just off themselves?
Oh, cry me a frickin’ river, already......
This “teacher”, along with other such idiots populating the ranks of our public school teachers, has no idea of the degree of his willful ignorance and he had no idea of the damage he is doing to his charges. He’s crippling those young minds and filling them with the idea that they are victims and nothing more.
And he does this while playing the role of the noble white man “helping” the downtrodden black community. A community he is helping to damn to a lifetime of self-imposed isolation and unwillingness to accept responsibility.
Surprisingly, the comments are overwhelmingly against what this POS “teacher” did.
Jiminy Tap-Dancing Christmas, there they go again.
Both of these things cannot be true, which attests to the "critical thinking skills" of the author.
Michael Brown is dead because of black race baiters and white enablers like this self-hating teacher. The blood of his death is on the hands of people who excuse and even encourage uncivilized behavior, and most of the time the killings are not committed by white, brown, black or yellow cops, but by other Michael Browns. One fourth of the children in this man's class will be under the supervision of the criminal justice system in some form by the time they are twenty-five. That isn't the fault of white policemen.
This “unarmed teenager” thing is going to give me serious liver damage. Oh, well, cheers!
Look at me, look at me, everybody! I’m a good person!
Not surprisingly, standardized test scores are low, but creativity, passion and critical thinking skills are high.
Really? An intelligent person might think that a student that has creativity, passion and critical thinking skills should be getting good scores on tests. If a student like this is not might that issue fall on the teachers or the subjects being taught?
Michael Brown has been dead for more than 100 days, yet he was in my classroom this morning. He stared up at me from the eyes of my 22 mostly black and brown students
So you are saying you have 22 criminals in your class? That is a little cold! I would be so insulted if I had a child in your class and you thought that way about him
The police are free to use deadly force with impunity so long as they tell a grand jury they felt threatened by their unarmed alleged assailant
Okay done with you know. If youu have to lie to make your point them your point is wrong............
You conviently let out the testimony of witnesses and the actual physical evidence and the autopsy evidence... Shame on you.
I am beginning to wonder if Darren Wilson is evena real cop. Is this another Sandy Hook?
This teacher is well out of his depth. Language Arts, previously known as English class, is not the place for current events discussions. In the 8th grade, with an acknowledged performance deficit, books need to be open to the lesson of the day that will lead to performance improvement on the next round of standardized testing. If this class can’t diagram a sentence, identify parts of speech, punctuate perfectly, and spell reliably enough to proofread, then this “teacher” is committing educational malpractice. I’d also bet his lesson plan for the day did not cover what he actually did and now his principal is complicit in the malpractice for allowing this free-form approach to continue.
This problem is never going away... and it won't be for lack of trying. There is simply no effort given. Look at this man, he i dead. Raised in a dysfunctional household and by every reasonable account I've seen, they are either all gang members, or they at least go out of their way to emulate the gangster lifestyle. How are we supposed to be sympathetic when this lifestyle delivers it's predictable eventuality?
Aside from Michael Brown, the author had this to say about the public schools. The guy doesn't have a clue about the system he himself works in. Obviously a union stalwart as well.
