Now that Hagel is on his way out, the only question that remains is, "Who's next?"
The Obama administration is cleaning house, or members of the failed Obama presidency are running for their political lives. They each have their reasons, political ambitions, and the way the media has been spinning each departure, but the reality is clear: President Barack Obama is a failure (or a success, if you are a hard left statist calling for an authoritarian regime in the White House), and he is expanding the executive branchs powers in ways the framers of the United States Constitution never intended.
Many of Barrys hard left buddies do not want to be caught in the firestorm by the electorate who spoke loudly on November 4, 2014 that they do not approve, and in the case of Hagel, the first combat veteran to hold the office of Secretary of Defense, and the only Republican on the National Defense team, the pressure to resign became too intense.

Amnesty for lawbreakers was the first domino.
Obama still has is Very Private Czar Shadow government
Obama is calling Cruz’s bluff about blocking all nominations. Cruz and the GOP wouldn’t dare block a Sec of Defense nomination.
Obama should be the first Obama domino to fall...
He’s a 2 term sitting Pres...just like Clinton. Victory, them.
I don’t think Hagel’s leaving has anything to do with the mid-terms. I think Obama’s going full leftist now and he doesn’t want any republicans in the fold to screw it up.
Sorry, I should have put quotes around the word “republican” when referring to Hagel.
Kemosabe, what do mean “We?”
There must be a left handed Shia lesbian available somewhere for a recess appointment.
He is CPUSA and Jarrett is his handler.
They are worried about a Coup.
Hagel was removed and they will bring in a fellow party member to keep the Officer Corps in check.
Hagel was in way over his head from day 0ne.
Well, he can’t get rid of Valerie Jarrett because then he wouldn’t know what he’s thinking.
I don’t believe for a minute that Hagel got fired. I believe he took the job reluctantly thinking he could work with Obama. Boy, was he wrong.
I cannot believe that Hagel is the first combat veteran to hold the office of Secretary of Defense.
For the record, the title of Secretary of Defense only goes back to 1949 (before that it was the Secretary of War or individual Sectaries of the Army and Navy), and its a lot rarer than I expected for the position holder to be a military veteran than a business management type, but at least one and maybe two previous Secretaries of Defense would qualify as “combat veterans”: (1) Elliot Richardson served as Secretary of Defense under Nixon (before serving as Attorney General). He was a decorated combat veteran in WWII and served in the Normandy invasion. (2) Casper Weinberger served in the Pacific in WWII, although he served in intelligence so it is not clear whether he was ever in front line combat.
I never had much respect for Hagel as Secdef, but perhaps he quit over the screwed up policy in the mideast with regard to ISIS formulated by generalissimo Hussein 0bama.
If he wants to redeem his soul, he’d better start talking, Stat!
