Sixty days may change America

The purpose of this article is to explain what may happen to America over the course of the next sixty days. And what, if anything, you may do about it.
The President has announced that following the elections on November 4th, he intends to issue an executive order, granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. He said, Were not just going to be waiting for legislation Ive got a pen and Ive got a phone, and I can use that pen to sign executive orders
You already know that an executive order which grants amnesty is unconstitutional and unlawful. You already know that executive orders only apply to Federal employees and may only relate to the performance of their jobs.
You already know that Democrats are pushing amnesty so that illegal aliens can become legal Democrat voters. Thats their plan. If successful, the Democratic Party will rule the country for years to come. Perhaps forever.
Here is the probable sequence of events over the next sixty days.
First, the President will make a speech stating that since Congress has refused to pass amnesty, he will do it by decree. The history books are full of leaders who ruled by decree. You can readily name several. Take a moment right now and think about what those leaders did to their people and their nations. Think about them. And reflect.
Second, the Presidents cheerleaders in the media will mount an intense campaign to support the Presidents decree. Huge bundles of cash will be contributed by leftwing billionaires to sell the coup d'état to the American people. Television will especially be used to promote the unconstitutional executive order and to demean those who believe in the rule of law.
Third, the Republican leaders of the House of Representatives and the Senate will stand before microphones in the Capitol and deplore the Presidents action. But, they will do nothing. Absolutely nothing. Once again, it will be all talk and no action.
Fourth, Congress will adjourn to get out of town. The opposition Party the Republican Party has no stomach for a fight. They will be like the captain of the Costa Concordia, Francesco Schettino, who fled his ship after it smashed into the rocks of Giglio Island.
Fifth, the only meaningful opposition to the Presidents plan will come from the last line of defense. And that last line of defense is composed of the people of America. Ordinary people. Middle class people. Tax paying people. Patriotic people. Commonsense people. Good-hearted and generous people. The last line of defense is you, Waynesboro.
If or when the edict is issued from the White House, we will be called to defend the Constitution. The President said he has a pen and a phone. Well, we have pens. And we have phones. And there are more of us, than there are of them.
If or when the time of trouble arrives, will you join me in petitioning the government for a redress of grievances?
Will you join me in asking our elected Representatives to really represent us?
Or will you be a spectator, as America succumbs to a one-man government?
Ken Adams is the Chairman of the Waynesboro Virginia Republican Committee.

Soooooooooooooo outside of signing “petitions”....what exactly is the plan again?
Article V allows for the states to by-pass Congress and the rest of the Federal monster. In 26 states you can by-pass the elected officials entirely and put the issue directly on the ballot. That leaves 8 states needed to put an amendment up for ratification. There are 9 states which voted Republican in the last 4 Presidential elections that don’t have this direct process. 26 + 9 = 35 or one more than needed. It can be done.
Third, the Republican leaders of the House of Representatives and the Senate will stand before microphones in the Capitol and deplore the Presidents action. But, they will do nothing. Absolutely nothing. Once again, it will be all talk and no action.
This sez it all coward balless feckless, if they gain control they will rally around the fool on the hill and make him look good like they did to clinton
Given the current political makeup of the state legislatures, what proposed amendments could you get 38 states to agree on enough to ratify them as Constitutional Amendments?
I’m sure a Convention could come up with all manner of proposed amendments, no doubt with some being patently silly and stupid. However, good luck getting 38 states to agree on them and then ratify them.
